i absolutely HATED how half of the all star cast was from the ROTI season, a cast of 3 full seasons and a cast of one 13 episode season are not on the same level. I dont even personally dislike the character of sam, but there was absolutely no way why he should have made the cut, while fan favorites like leshawna, owen, dj and izzy did not make it. i also HATED how to made lindsay so dumb that she literally did not know how to walk, after being such a good player in action. she should have won action. (imo the final should have been lindsay vs harold in that season anyways, why BETH of all people made it that far is beyond me) lastly, but i know i might be in the minority with this, i never liked zoey, and her winning was so anti climactic. Zoey, Sky and Priya are literally carbon copies of each other. ‘Normal girls next door who is super athletic for … reason’
Zoey was the first though, so it was less stale back then. Also how the hell is Priya a "nextdoor girl who's athletic for SOME reason"? Lindsay was always dumb, just look at her elimination in Action. Her being too dumb to push a baby carriage isn't too far off. The reason they had half and half was likely to look less biased toward the Og cast. It might've even been a network thing. They just made all these characters, do you want them to be thrown away immediately for more Og? They added Sierra meaning they likely were running out of Og cast members to add. While I agree Leshawna and Owen are great picks, there's no way they thought of Sierra first, they chose to cut Owen and Leshawna. If they added two extra Og cast members, they would've probably chosen Noah and Cody or something.(Not that I don't like those characters.)
@@Donut_Lord28 thats true, i personally just never particularly liked zoey, i was fine with her making the final 3 in ROTI but i absolutely hated the execution of the mal storyline in all stars. also, with all 3 of them (zoey, sky and priya) i could tell from the first episode that they were gonna be one of the winners, it was all just very predictable to me. i do admit that priya had a better reason to be an ‘athletic girl next door’ than zoey and arguably sky (i do think sky was an olympian or something if i remember correctly) but i just really dislike the fact that she won. the fact that she won just makes it seem like all the abuse her parent put her trough was ‘worth it’ in the end. in my opinion, it would have been better for her arc to get like 5th/4th in the first half of the season and than she could have won the second half of the season due to her own willpower being awakened or something like that. at least this probably means her arc is ‘over’ for the most part, so i’m hoping she and millie are gonna be early boots next season.

However Owen still managed to get a cameo in the finale, while Cody was frequently mentioned by Sierra with his face appearing in her hallucinations. The same line-up also revealed plots that didn't make it into the season such as Courtney getting revenge on Heather, Duncan getting revenge on Courtney, the continuation of Zoey's commando persona, and Scott creating a new and improved strategy after analyzing past Total Drama episodes.
I'm pretty sure thats just a rumor but there was a version that include Owen and Anne Maria. The writers liked Owen too much to send him home early so they cut him, and to keep the gender and generation balance the same they also got rid of Anne Maria
Total Drama All-Stars is similar like Teen Titans Go - Both came out in 2013 (just 10 years ago). - Both have good concept but awful execution & poor writing. - Both shows killed the original shows as huge failures. - Both were awful shows in the middle of 2010s. - Both shows are cringy regarding the humor and characters portrayals as either parodies or shells of former selves by regression. - Hotel: Trivago.
(I'd like to preface this comment with: I've never seen or met a person with DID, so I don't know how accurate TD's portrayal of it is) Idk why Mike's DID is such a massive problem to the TD community, I get being put off by a character in a show that represents a disorder or a group of people badly. But I think saying Mike is trash because of it, isn't very valid in this show. Literally every single character in this show, and I mean EVERY character is a stereotype. Ex. Leshawna isn't a good representation of black people, yet she's loved. Mike is (maybe?) a bad representation of DID, and is hated. (I know people dislike him for other reasons, not just this. Also I'm not accusing you of saying Mike is bad, I'm just saying that if you're calling out Mike for being a bad representation of something, you gotta call out Leshawna too)

All Stars was the first season i stopped watching. I made it to the courtney elimination before i just stopped caring. I haven't watched the finale nor the final 4 to this day. It's just boring.
Thats one of the major faults with All Stars, how boring it is. No elimination left me shocked, it was predictable. Which is extra weird since Revenge and PI constantly had me second guessing who would go, at least in the merge

My opinions on the show are very fluid, they change all the time. I try not to let one bad season affect my opinion on a multi season character, but I would be lying if I said this season didn’t sour my opinion on Zoey. Rewatching the season did let me realize that I like Courtney more than I thought, her one sided rivalry with Zoey is fun, and she has a fun dynamic with Scott. As for characters being impossible to be fixed, I don’t think any character is impossible to improve in a later season, except mikes alters cause they’re all gone forever.

I feel like Gwen’s problem was more the writing than where she was placed. And I thought Scottney was good in comparison to rest of the season but overall it’s just alright
