I froze all my credit reports last year. A few of the agencies make it hard to figure out, but they are required to let you do it for free. You can do a temporary “thaw” when you want to apply for credit. Great safety valve IMO.
Where I work (a roadside assistance dispatching company for insurance and veh makers roadside plans) just now got hacked 7-19-24 around midnight, everyone in my company wound up with that windows blue screen of death and no one is online now no calls are being answered NOTHING. As of writing this comment I'm reinstalling windows on my work pc so I can be ready to go to work and clean up the huge mess waiting on me.
Freezing your credit reports and temporarily lifting the is super easy. Experian is the most complicated because they will give you a pin, but it takes only a few minutes to do a temp lift if you want to apply for something.
Update: I froze our credit on all 3 of the bureaus. It was not hard. Might have taken 30 minutes total for all 3.

Yup, since making this video I froze our credit on all 3 bureaus to be safe. It was surprisingly easy
The concerning part is evolve saying “the synapse ledger did not match amounts being deposited”
Yeah we need the ledger to match up.
Let me check my email… AGAIN…
Most I can lose in this situation is .30 cents
Can we sue colletively for all the inconvenience or if you do lose money behind their incompetence?
Ive heard Clark Howard talk about freezing credit and he highly recommends it for everyone.
send us the link to class action suit please
I’m not aware of a class action suit related to this.
There is a lawsuit between some of the companies involved but that’s not a class action suit.
