If you want to be able to start a recording manually, press and hold the camera icon by the i-Drive steering wheel on the center console for a longer time (5sec )
@@rant-n-rave7816 Try long press the camera icon button and it starts recording, starts at 20sec so it has to record all the time and always save 20sec ( depending on your settings in the car, but the ignition must be on ). Try to turn on the ignition and walk out in front of the car and back again, than press the camera icon to record and after a while check if you are in the movie :-)
Sorry for delay on getting new stuff out. We took delivery of the second iX M60 and we love them both! I’ll get a video out soon I hope, just been really busy !
The temperature gauge refers to the iX M60's rear engine More power makes more heat, so while the xDrive50's motors get along with water cooling only, the iX M60's rear motor cools the core of its stator with oil, which in turn transfers heat to a water-cooling circuit.
The transformation from xDrive50 to M60 increases the top speed from 124 to 155 mph, which BMW describes as electronically limited in both cases, but it turns out they're both "redline limited" to the maximum speed of these motors: 15,400 rpm.
Fantastic information skibahnhofab950. Started playing with our OBD monitor tonight. This new info along with what I’m seeing now is very intriguing. Not sure why BMW is not providing this info to owners who want it. Not ONE person is talking about this stuff 🤷🏻♂️
Not sure if this has been addressed.. But the Drive Recorder automatically records in the event of an accident… Unfortunately I know this from experience. You can select the duration to record prior as well.
Regarding Multi-Contract Plug & Charge and MAX RANGE features: BMW iX manufactured from March 2023 are delivered with new hardware, Head-Unit MGU5. MGU5 is required for Augmented Reality in the driver cluster. MGU5 is also required for new iDrive 8.5 BMW iX manufactured from July 2023 will delivered with the new iDrive 8.5 from factory. " The Multi-Contract Plug & Charge function will be added to the BMW Charging portfolio, enabling automatic vehicle authentication at public charging points. The exchange of data between vehicle and charging point does away with the need for a charging card or app. As the amount of electricity fed into the high-voltage battery is also billed automatically, Plug & Charge makes recharging even more straightforward than refuelling conventionally powered vehicles. The BMW Group is the first carmaker in the world to incorporate multi-contract functionality into this new feature. Customers are able to store their individual vehicle electricity contracts from multiple suppliers in digital form in their car, allowing them to use the charging points of these operators with the greatest of ease. The new Multi-Contract Plug & Charge function can be made available via Remote Software Upgrade for all BMW i7 models manufactured since July 2022 and all BMW iX models built since March 2023 "
