Vilamendhoo The Return of the Sharks

After diving in Maldives the 5th time, we had the impression of an increasing number of young sharks, hopefully the first sign of the shark protection. We dove most time in the vicinity of Vilamendhoo. We saw the Manta rays and the whale shark near Madivaru, Rangali, the grey reef sharks at Hafza Thila, North Ari. Thanks to Mike Christiani of Eurodivers for the perfect week.

Wir hatten bei unserem 5. Maledivenurlaub den Eindruck, dass die Anzahl an jungen Haien wieder zunimmt. Die meisten Aufnahmen entstanden in der Umgebung von Vilamendhoo, die der Mantas und des Walhais am Madivaru, Rangali. Hallo
Ganz tolles Video mit sehr passende gewählter Musik. Es hat sich in Sachen Haien wohl tatsächlich was getan. Wir waren im Juni 2011 auf Vilamendhoo und haben keinen einzigen jungen Hai rund um die Insel gesehen, auch mit grösseren Riffhaien hatten wir kein Glück.

@jfcroci I use a Panasonic SD909 in the 1080 50p mode in a modified Sealux housing. Most of the time I use a red filter or a video light (LED by Tillytec)
