Emily, I'm crying laughing. Your sweet innocence at just enjoying the feel of the fabric, the beauty in the color and the joy of the price but overlooking the washing instructions...😂 That's been me my whole life!! I'm in my 50's, I love your content. Stay who you are!!
Trundle beds with out the mattress make great toy boxes
Your little one waving at the picture was precious!! Mine is in the same stage rn 💙☺️ I cannot wait to see how your stump turns out!!! Lol the funniest sentence. Thanks for the sneak peaks!
I have seen a number of furniture makeovers where they paint the wood cream and then apply a brown finishing wax. This might work on the bed frame. The ones I have seen look amazing.
I loved those dresses at the thrift store!! And those mini huggy earrings are so cute! I would highly recommend letting that wood dry out before removing the bark! We did the same thing for our porch and it came out beautiful. I would also recommend sealing it because termites got into ours and the wood split! But I still think it looks beautiful hahah
Can’t wait to see the finished bed! What a great find!
Mila saying “hi” to the portrait was so cute and I’m very excited about both of your diys!!
I can’t wait to see the Bed! And I want Step by step directions on the Tree Sump Stand PLEASE! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The bark is beautiful.
I love that green color on you!
I want that Noah’s Arc shelf 🥹
I sure do love watching your videos! The bed will turn out great. My husband brought home a stump like that one a few years ago and I just couldn't picture what it could become. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.
Cant wait to see the bed !!!
Could you sand the wood parts, and just paint that inlay? Maybe a beige wash?
Hey there, let the tree trunk dry out and the bark will just fall off easily, looking forward for the end result!!
Any button can be sewn onto the white tee shirt, and I love the silk one, just goes to show you don't always need to hand wash silk 😃
Norm!! What a cutie 😊
Ball and Twine by Sherwin Williams is my favorite creamy beige color!
I love the olive green silk shirt and also your choice of blue jeans which fit you very well.
I find wetting the bark gets it off easier like leaving it in the rain😂
Emily keep me posted on the paint your using for the bed I have a dresser in my room I've been just wanting to paint right over I live in an apartment so I have to literally do it😊
That bed is an amazing find! I can’t wait to see it all done😊
I think the tree stump table looked great with its natural bark on,and I would have painted the sleigh bed white
I would paint the bed. That would be stunning! I agree, let the primer cure. The bed is fab!
Looking forward to seeing how you make out with your projects. Love the silk shirt. 👌🏼 have a great weekend. Happy Easter ✝️
I would take a chizzle and a hammer..stick the chizzle behind the bark..u may be able to just pry sum off ..otherwise if u hit the chizzle lightly w the hammer that MAY help the process..Luv Luv ALL of your videos..luv going thrifting w you and seeing all you get!! See ya next time mama❤
I would def let the stump dry out. Also i would recommend stripping the bed with stain stripper and then you could just give it a light sand. Good luck!
I can't wait to see the bed...so pretty. So sad it can't be sanded.
Love the shirts. Cute!!!
I cannot wait to see the bed painted!!!
I’m not really the sentimental type but holy cats, who donated grandpa and grandmas portrait?!
I know right 😯
Your daughter ‘s bed will be beautiful 🤗
I thought the same thing. It made me sad.
Lots of cute things!!
Definitely let the stump dry out well. The bark will come off more easily. You'll want to seal it, as you had mentioned 😉. We didn't seal ours, and dry rot has set in. Mind you, we use ours outside, but it's still a bummer. We'll be replacing ours, sanding and sealing.
I am looking forward to how your projects turn out 😊
Happy Easter!! 💖
Love you and your fam! Cute finds. Can’t wait to see your projects done. 👍🏻♥️
Love your DIY ideas and will try the tree stump idea myself for sure♥️
You would think with the prices that Pottery Barn sells their furniture that that bed would’ve been solid wood. It’s obviously a veneer over something else. You have to be very careful when sanding veneer, it’s very thin.
Hi Emily. 😊. Oh my gosh. You always make me laugh. You are hilarious. I can totally relate to this video. I found an awesome mid century, modern, solid wood console table and thought it would be a great idea to paint it in blue. I don’t know what I was thinking seriously. So I took the time to sand it down a little and do a really good job and paint it this blue colour and I absolutely hate it. So now I have to decide if I’m painting over it in a tan coloured paint or if I’m going to remove all of that hideous dark blue paint and try to get to the bare wood. 😩 it will be a beautiful piece of furniture so I feel like it’s probably worth sanding it down.
Your kids are adorable, Norman is very like you compared to the other two who look more like Daddy. I’ve been watching you for a couple of years and always think you’re such a good Mom when I see you with your children. The tops are both cute, just be careful with the silk one if you’re sweaty, which I’m sure you aren’t 😆 The BIN primer is amazing, I bought some only yesterday! Enjoy the holiday weekend with your family and I look forward to seeing how your projects turn out. Sending love to you all from the UK ❤
Can't wait to see the bed project.
Great finds, Emily.
I like your furniture ideas. I look forward to seeing them both completed. 😀
Happy Easter to you and your family. 🥰
The bed will be beautiful!
I think I need to try that primer for my kitchen cabinets 🧐
I just painted something in Joa’s White by Farrow & Ball (but I color matched it with cheaper paint lol) and it’s a really nice light tan, not too warm not too cold.
Anew Grey by Sherwin Williams is a beautiful neutral beige. Spoiler alert it’s not grey 😅
So glad your posting, you look incredible
I have the same mini hoops and love them I feel like they have gone up a lot in price since they first started 🙋🏻♀️💐
Can you put cane in the places you sanded or just pain and cane it. I think that will look crazy cool NORM LOL HE IS ADORABLE
You crack me up
Love the white shirt . Get out thread and needle and get that button sewed on. That looked so cute on you!
Agree, it will take only a few minutes to see the button on, and will then be very satisfying to wear.
You look adorable in your new tops and so looking forward to seeing your finished diys. Tfs
Speaking from experience let the stump dry out 😅 it will fall off much easier
I need to sand my few I have down and seal them but I’ve been procrastinating 🤣😅
Also was thinking that bed painted a creamy beige would be precious!😊
I think the bed would be cute painted and you'll probably have to let that stump dry out and I always wash everything even washed dry clean only so far I've always been successful I even washed a solid wool sweater and threw it in my dryer it didn't even shrink I don't know cuz I figured you'd come out small enough to fit a baby lol but it did not and it was one hundred percent wool
❤
Farrow and Ball Setting Plaster
Use a chisel and a hammer to get that bark off. Then let the wood dry out for a few months.
In the future, use a stripper before sanding when you are dealing with a shellac/varnish finish over a thin veneer. A great channel to watch is @ flippingdrawers.
Norman! 😂
