In the event you are still playing around with this mod, you should probably avoid using the ballast "compressor" unless you are actually moving at a moderate speed. You'll probably have much better control over the whole thing in that case, and your dive planes are called that for a reason. They control your attitude/depth while submerged, and all the ballast does is make it so that the boat (all underwater vessels are boats, not ships btw) is neutrally buoyant. Positive buoyancy == float towards the surface, negative buoyancy == sink to the bottom, neutral buoyancy == float at a given keel depth range, based upon the relative density of the water surrounding the vessel, mass of said vessel, and a few other factors probably not simulated in the mod. Submarines are, in many ways, just strangely shaped aircraft that just happen to fly underwater. Kinda like a penguin.
That mod reminds myself my favorite aircraft mod: Heisenberg airship parts. Just look at that: you have a ramp for boats, bows, etc. Just underwater type of Heisenberg airship!
+Ryusho Yosei yup these sub can go safely down to about 1km really ... though that is not recommend as I said in the vid as that's when you start phasing through the planet lol.
Hopefully they'll make some sort of balast backpack for kis, so basically you can do what the sub does but as a kerbal, mainly for getting in the carbo bay or building bases on the sea floor, could either have its own thrust or use the kerbal's rcs
the decompressor/compressor probably doesn't do what you think it does, it probably just alleviates the pressure created from having thousands of litres of water trying to crush you and makes it so that when you try to put it in something it doesn't violently burst through whatever outlet you are using and destroying or harming something or someone due to the pressure which would push it through with an incredible amount of force.
i have got a suprise for you then fengist combined it once with his other ship mod link : forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/142142-12x-the-maritime-pack-v019-deep-diving/#comment-2638758
thats probaly because the nose ballast tank is smaller and water is more condensed in the nose then in the back and thats why it goes nose first the best way to fix it is by closing down the inlet of water into the bow sometimes so it can level out again
+niels Mallant You actually can, you can actually compress anything, However, It requires a great amount of pressure to get a small amount of compression, for this reason. Don't worry, this is a common misconception.
KottabosGames, I Clicked the download link in the Sub pack Post. It Led me to a page that did not show the download. Where is the real actual download?
Not very sensable having main balast in the bow and stern, should really have a centre balast tank with small trim tanks in the bow and stern to avoid all the balence issues. Basically you'd just put the main balast tank as close to the center of mass as you can, pump a bit of water into the bow or stern trim as needed if it's a bit off and then it'd just dive or surface perfectly evenly by pumping water into or out of the main tank.
*facepalm* You don't need to adjust the ballast to turn down. Their whole purpose is to lower your height. You "fly" it like a plane waits those wings in the water with the engines as well.
why don't you make a long submarine with a helicopter pad and land a helicopter on it or a rocket on it that would be the most coolest thing ever that I would like and see in my life and I am carlrick and I am 8 years

combine this pack and the bd armory naval pack
** Plays Red October theme **

The air intake is actually called a snort
"And you shouldnt go below 1000m you will like enter the planet mesh itself."
My Reaction: MA! GET THE SUB WE GOIN TO 1000M DEEP!!!
kerbal beatles incoming my friends
We all live in a Kerbal submarine, a Kerbal submarine, a Kerbal submarine...
Looks great! I made a submarine in stock KSP that works like a real one!
I was supprised to see it go below the "600 meter down death line" that I always hear about for subs.
+Ryusho Yosei yup these sub can go safely down to about 1km really ... though that is not recommend as I said in the vid as that's when you start phasing through the planet lol.
+KottabosGames you talk to much i wanna see u play the game
+TJ Awsome Gamer 27 Mod review. He's gotta talk.
+Prominator123 lol rekt
Haloid Android What.
10:56 ok, crap. 11:00 OH GOD, THATS NOT CRAP!!! THATS EPIC!!
The ballast tanks from the maritime pack can make diving easier
the blow ballast part was majestical
Who else skips the parts thing and goes to when he goes underwater
me
3:43 the best submarine ever
What mod filter mod do u use, It might not be in this video but I cant think of when he uses it
9:30 lol
This is an amazing mod
You should give an update video when this goes into a full release.
28:16 yes lathye has oceans
I wonder if the config can be modified to speed up how fast the sub can auto-level
dont think its mainly the bloody ocean and squad
Hopefully they'll make some sort of balast backpack for kis, so basically you can do what the sub does but as a kerbal, mainly for getting in the carbo bay or building bases on the sea floor, could either have its own thrust or use the kerbal's rcs
This could be fun for exploring the oceans of other planets too.

sadly this mod is gone and no link on the forums anymore so yea..
Really..??
yea
+GamerStreak :(
:(
i have got a suprise for you then
fengist combined it once with his other ship mod

my sub always goes nose first even tho both tanks has the same amount of water
thats probaly because the nose ballast tank is smaller and water is more condensed in the nose then in the back and thats why it goes nose first

Congrats, you've gotten a sub!
I might get this mod
What do you expect from a commadore
compressed water
technically you cant compress water because it is a liquid. but none the less, cool mod and vid Kottabos!
+niels Mallant You actually can, you can actually compress anything, However, It requires a great amount of pressure to get a small amount of compression, for this reason. Don't worry, this is a common misconception.
+Omni derpectional haven't gotten that far into physics, but thanks for the correction anyway!
No problem! :3
+Omni derpectional Lol, I was going to correct, thank you for doing it for me xD
Why does it always say its over-pressurized.
i have the same sub as you do.
I'm sad that you didn't show us the cargo bay in the water.
He should have got BD armory and launched middles form the bottom of the ocean and hit a land target.
Can you do one for KAX?
wow i like those railings. shame they arent a separate thing i could put on other ships because that would be pimp.
This mod is back alive. You can find it here:
forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/142142-the-maritime-pack-v015-submarines/
KottabosGames, I Clicked the download link in the Sub pack Post. It Led me to a page that did not show the download. Where is the real actual download?
I can't find it on CKAN
Ya I'm trying to figure it out still but like tha idea of it
it's no longer avaliable :(
How is your day going
there was a boat parts mod in 0.90
+Agustin Toni well, he uses 1.0
that is true. I think the developers should update it
+Agustin Toni "Nope, fuck squad with their new hydrodynamics physics" That was how the creator was like after update 1.0.5
+Agustin Toni apparently it is the same creator.
really?
the link will not worck the site its on has NO link to the download
do u say kottobass space program or kerbal space program?
How well does this work now with Version 1.0.5 out?

What if u made a submarine aircraft carrier useing hisenburg parts
*facepalm* You don't need to adjust the ballast to turn down. Their whole purpose is to lower your height. You "fly" it like a plane waits those wings in the water with the engines as well.
wait? you mean with
Yes, I gotta stop commenting when I'm sleepy!
+KKTrain Springer so roll and pitch instead of yaw?!
IRL you would use the rudder to yaw, but the hydrofoils to pitch. You don't roll a sub.
I can never get submarine or boat mods to work.
put a nuclear reactor in mine, can run forever :D
do you have any thoughts on remote tech mod?
+zippa .way complicated lol, I've looked at it a few times and always end up with troubles. seems interesting though
+KottabosGames same has happend to me when I tryed.
So what's the point of this exactly? Is there anything worth seeing under the ocean?
please do kerbal foundries
He already has, I think.
Why doesn't he make a part so you can launch a Missile from a missile bay and can he make it compatible with BD Armory?
how do you get it to the water
best way is to use hyperedit to (not really) cheat it into the water
mine won't go underwater
I have a solution for an almost perfectly ballanced submarine. Make it perfectly semetrical.
(I know its spelled wrong)
how do i download
why is not moving
why dose this not have nuke power. we all know kerbals have this tec.
+Enthusiastic Amateur probably coming later.
+Enthusiastic Amateur welp, we do have nuclear generator kinda
Imagine kerbals on EVA!
In real life, the exact spot where the depth meter in the chip is not in the exact same spot as the commanding seat, so it is slightly off.
Why haven't I subscribed yet?!? Well, that's fixed now.
i hate the thought of super far down in the ocean because who knows whats down there
Is hyper edit a mod
Boo boo Piglet Yep - www.kerbaltek.com/hyperedit
wil this work with 1.0.5
idk:D
It works even better due to the better buoyancy.
+TheAmazingSpy Thanks for the correction.
how do you delete mods
+Mary Crosby-Roth Just Delete them from your game file.
that background music is kinda creepy
13:30
Broken?
It would be anyoying sinking that thing
Can anyone tell me how to download?
+bruteslayer36 The mod got discontinued so it doesnt work anymore for the latest version of ksp
+Spartan447 ok thx
finaly i can use subs for my BD series on my chanel YESSSSS
(BDarmory and i'll equip this with TOMAHWAKS!!!! )
i'll download this mod RIGHT NOW
i'll download this mod RIGHT NOW
i'll download this mod RIGHT NOW
+Toni97531
Why would someone download it 3 times?
I thought you were Scott.............MANLEY
I wish KSP had better water physics, but it's a space game so I guess.
+KittyCatPlays well, welcome to 1.0.5 where water has physics that don't make any sense just like the good old times with aerodynamics
Hariz Izzudin May I please remind you that I made that comment in late OCTOBER
KittyCatPlays gdi phones are so small. sorry lol
It's okay, I'm only judging you because you're using a phone.
+Hariz Izzudin Well, 1.0.5 actually BROKE this wonderful mod.
I put submarine in space today
I like dis
Ehh....water-compressor?
acdegans Im guessing you are confused because of the fact that water is imcompressible
MegaLoGamer 69420 Yes I know, thats why I'm asking.
acdegans I thought so.
I have no clue either
It is I think
Make a underwater rover...
So a submarine?
Water is incompressible.
13:57 ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED
Now we gotta get a sub to eve
Keriana trench
INJUN
This is cool, imagine if they added cargo bays for this. I can make a nuclear sub and RULE THE WORLD! MUHAHHAHA.
There is a cargo bay...
+i ate your gerbil I think he means one with dorsal doors. So that it opens in the top, not the sides.
Bob Bobbington Yes, that is what I meant.
Challenge, circumnavigate meringue with only a submarine (no cheats) (can send refuel planes/wtvr)
Kerbin*
I don't give a fuck but you should release the mod on curse to make everyone else happy.
>:( MY HEADPHONES STOPPED WORKING UGH >:(
why don't you make a long submarine with a helicopter pad and land a helicopter on it or a rocket on it that would be the most coolest thing ever that I would like and see in my life and I am carlrick and I am 8 years
Plays game of Cs:go, finds this mod. NO MORE CS:GI
It's pronounced "Boy", not "Buie"
No he pronounced it correctly.
Only if you're American...
Actually im american, and i pronounce it as "boo-eee"
+epion660 same
Kkkkkkk
Kkkkkk😬😬😬😝😝
Man this guys has too much talking, too much explanation.
