@@vernitico Tighter, definitely. His live vocals sound better too, and he using a good technique that both doesn't damage his voice and sounds good and authentic at the same time. He wouldn't be able to deliver a performance of this song like this back in the SYL days when this song was released.

@@ARandomDarkLink While agree it's not as good as the studio version, but holy shit he did good here. Close to 50 years at the time of the recording. I think he did better than the SYL live versions I've heard atleast! And that's saying something I think!

2020 and just getting better all the time. Finally I'll get to see a performer in their prime that I can actually remember now I'm sober lol. At 54 all those 80/90's metal concerts were a blur, so I think at least DT would be the most amazing of them all and worth a clear memory or two ;) An experience not to be missed.

Thank you for posting. I wasn’t home to enjoy the concert live. I am not familiar with the men playing with Devin. Immediately I am impressed with Samus! Reluctantly, I grabbed the phone at 3:41 and hit pause. I googled Samus and the first thing I saw was his birthday and year of birth. Now my head is spinning. We share the September 14th birthday and his birth year is when I graduated from high school. I will continue this excellent show 🤘🏻

I started playing drums when I was 4 years old, nearly 40 years ago, it's always interesting to me to see someone play who grew up with triggers, Axis long boards and Digital gear! When I started learning, I played on my brother's Speed king on a marching band bass drum retrofitted with floor spurs, 4 goodwill snare drums with tom mounts added and split black dot's held together with tape as tom toms, Music book stands with Black electrical and duct tape as stops for cymbal stands, Duct tape for flam pads and broken cymbals/sticks. We had to play loud or you didn't get heard over the guitar!
Shame on you folks that haven't heard this song till this upload. I been a fan of Townsend since 1998!

WTH is this? I saw Devin open for Avatar last year and it wasn't metal at all. What's up with this guy. I never heard of him my whole life and I was 23 in 2000. I was a metal head in the 80's recording headbangers ball every Saturday night for years. Now metal heads everywhere act like he's one of the best. How can someone I've never heard of be so big all of a sudden overnight it seems like to me anyway. Why haven't I ever heard of him. It's kinda annoying because when he opened for Avatar it was just him and since I had no clue who he was I didn't really take him seriously and didn't pay attention after all I was there to see the riff king of Avatar country.

I love God of Sick Dreams and Age of Apes the best probably idk. Collosus is great to. They're all great in their own way.
