I know some people don’t like being filmed and that’s perfectly okay and we should respect their privacy but it’s so nice to see that the new guys working on your house don’t mind being filmed. It shows they actually plan to do a good job and aren’t trying to hide themselves. They also probably realize it’s good marketing for them and want their name out there.

I feel the same but also i know a handyman by trade, usually older men, may not have all the newer certifications or know the ins and outs of the permits portion of it. He can tell a good job when he sees it but may have not known contractors don't file your permits for you.
@@Orionya there was a lot more red flags other than just the permits, like the fact that there weren’t any safety rails around the giant holes in the ground/ the door that you could walk out from the second floor

Morgan! As someone who has worked in architecture and custom home building/design, and has witnessed many horror stories with shady contractors, all I can say is I'm so sorry! These situations are awful when randos try to scam and take advantage of people like this. On the upside, you are now a wiser, smarter, more powerful awesome person and you get to take that with you into everything you do in the future.
the first situation sucked so bad, but it happened to give you the insight, motivation, and confidence to never let anything like that happen again. cannot wait to see this finally come to life!!🎉

As someone who has been through a home remodel, I started to have a major feeling in my gut the more you mentioned waiting for the permits in your vlogs and the state of the house... And what that "CONtractor" did was extremely disrespectful. To Morgan, other potential clients, and to the construction trade as a whole.

My husband is a carpenter and has also done roofing since he was in his early teens and I know for a fact how many shady assholes there are out there. Just know it's not your fault and it will just make the end product that more special.

I think I was meant to hear this today. I’m in the hospital in a town where I have no real friends and I was feeling sorry for myself that my bestie and my brother have not mentioned coming here. I am the only person who has control over how I feel and I have decided to look past it and worry about my health. If I watched this a day earlier I could have saved myself a lot of tears.
