As a musician I totally understand what you’re saying ! It can feel so stupid and uncomfortable to share that part of ourselves. Because it comes from such a vulnerable place. I still deal with self doubt, even after experiencing great success on UA-cam with my tarot practice.
I love what Rick Rubin wrote about self doubt: “We create pieces reflective of who we are, and if insecurity is part of who we are, then our work will have a greater degree of truth in it as a result.”

I know how it can feel to put yourself out there when you first start making music. From the perspective of a fellow producer, none of the videos you shared of your music look anything less than cool. It's going to take time to find your audience because you're doing something different, but that is infinitely better than making stuff that sounds like what has been done a thousand times before.

April 29th reporting, definitely need to set my emotions aside and be logical. i currently work a job where i objectively do more than my coworkers, try harder, and am generally exceptionally better at my job than they are, yet i make criminally less than they do. had my yearly review today, received a raise, but i am still left drastically beneath my coworkers while also being told that i am going to be put into more of my other position (that my coworkers can't do) whilst making $12 less per hour than the median for that profession :// really hard to see this as a win nonetheless and not be so disappointed/negative about not having my expectations met

As one of the few people who has actually lived the meat life for several years and I mean somedays I only a 3/4 to 1 lb beef patty. Generally I ate 4 to 7 lb of beef a week plus a dozen jalapenos a pineapple and occasionally other meats and sushi. The few years where I was nothing but 20 hamburgers no buns and a dozen jalapenos and a pineapple was from a need standpoint in regards to nutrient dense foods and having a neck injury that prevented me from being able to eat everyday. When there's weeks where you go two or three days without eating because of strangulation style headaches and nausea You learn real fast what can stick with you and what doesn't. For this reason meat eaters aren't going to be happy to hear me say this but when going out with your vegan friends or vegetarian friends you should just eat whatever they are eating. If you're a meat eater because of arguments that you can hold up as far as nutrients per gram of food and the importance of animal fats for healthy endocrine systems then you should be able to also exhibit the lack of need for three meals a day and for eating everyday. If you're going to justify eating meat for nutritional reasons then you should feel comfortable displaying the benefits by having days where you don't eat meat or food at all. Just my personal opinion because if you really want to spend time with a person you want them to be as comfortable as possible. Now granted that's not going to happen if they decide to try to convert you on the spot just because you concede to go to the restaurant lol I hope that doesn't happen if anyone follows my example. Health and happiness to yall all!
