I thought the north node was your life’s purpose. Something you keep avoiding that “fills your cup”, and you can fall in your south node trap (I.e, comfort zone). But you’re right, whatever it is needs to resonate with your soul. You have to feel it❤️
I personally found that the ruler of your ascendant points the way to which house is most important for you. If the Moon rules the first house, and it is in the 7th house, you spend all your time looking for the perfect mate.
Thank you for this video. Since astrology has gotten a lot more mainstream, people are misunderstanding a lot of things about it. I would love more videos like this, like maybe a "Do This, Not That" type of topic, or more "Astrology Basics" - including what modalities are, a little more about aspects, people should read their 'horoscope' based on their rising sign not their sun sign, etc. Not sure if you've done something like that yet! I'm just seeing a lot of people constantly focus on their own and others' big 3... When they should be focusing more on other things about a chart. I just can't tell you how many people claim to be into astrology and "know" astrology but don't know what modalities are, don't understand aspects, or even degrees, and some people think cusps are still a thing... 😅 So THANK YOU for this, Cam. I had a traditional astrologer figure out that I was a war refugee from Eastern Europe by looking at 2 planets in my chart. Nothing else. I was shocked and amazed by ancient astrology practices ever since.

Well it's true what you Invision your perfect manifestation looks like in your mind it fantasy, that is the building blocks of what you actually accomplished in your manifestation when it materializes. Example as a child I envisioned living out in the wild mountains, no one for miles, living off the land, free with nature. Well the actual manifestation I developed after a live of struggle was an RV lifestyle fulltime, not living in a van or box truck but an actual RV that I have pets, tools, books, guns, everything I need to live comfortably. Keeping in a warm climate weather it's summer in the high elevations or deserts in winter. Now...perfect...hell no, crowds of others, homeless car dweller that society forsaken, horrible roads accross America, and limited free government land to camp on, but it's still better than what I had. A house has a gate, a front door, and several different rooms. I think quadrant houses should be looked at and researched in terms of the culture at the various times in history each was popular, to ascertain the specific relevance of each variant of house cusp as an area or room within an house. What happens when this specific cusp is ingressed versus when that particular cusp is?
11:43 So, don't you look at Uranus, Neptun, Pluto, SN/NN Transits at all?? As most astrologers in social media don't answer questions, I don't expect to get an answer, but it would be nice to know your opinion with transits of the outer planets or the nodes.
Really liked this! I have played with different house systems but still come back to whole sign. It really helps, personally, given that I have a few planets right on the edge of two houses. About hearts desire, I completely agree with you on that! I followed a vision of what others had for me to go into healthcare. Despite my passion being in writing, art, storytelling, cinematography, astrology and Tarot. When I studied my chart a bit, I did discover that passion is represented with my 10th house Leo Mercury/MC/Sun in exact trine to my 2nd house natal Sagittarius Neptune. When I dug a bit deeper into the lord of my second house, Jupiter, sitting pretty in my 12th house exact trine to my 4th house Aquarius Moon the puzzle all clicked together.

So insane. I have Gemini in my 6th and I'm in a 6th house year - I literally had to put my cat to sleep at 2 years old for rare heart condition we had no idea he had until Mars Rx in Gemini last year. I was expecting her m to get sick I really was because he was my world. But that was and still is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. And I've been homeless, addicted, pno parents, overdose..trauma abuse SA DV..I've been through a lot. But this really broke my soul open. It happened in December. He got sick first, the middle of Nov. I thought he was alright but he went into heart failure and I euthanized him so he didn't suffer rather than giving him meds for a year while he struggled every day. It's heartbreaking still😭 I'm still trying to figure out wtf I am supposed to learn from this.
totally get what you have said - thank you. yes, trust your heart and interpret it with your mind but your heart runs from the feelings that your body is experiencing so the gut is the instinct - and the gut is focussed on the belly button where we were attached to our mums body - our first experiences. we are energetic creatures, as are all creatures, first and foremost, and our physicality comes from our energetics that we experience, but are not capable of measuring cos everything comes from it
I watched this likely just after it came out and then I checked your website and skimmed some of the content and the portion where you mentioned sourcing your actual birth time rather than believing your mother gave me a laugh and I thought I might never know because the only legitimate record I might be able to get would require paperwork and more funking around than I'd like to do. Of course I don't believe my mother but I only had her word on it so I've been using that time for a few months now and I really couldn't make any sense of my chart at all. Then, yesterday, I went into the back of a drawer on intuition and found and immunization record with my birth time on it 35 minutes before the time she told me and it changed my ascendant and some other thangs. It makes more sense now. Not a lot of sense because I'm a n00b but you know, thanks for the advice and I just had to leave this little story.
Thanks for another good one. I personally am not a big fan of the whole house system. I recently learned about it, since I dug deeper into astrology and learned tons of things, i.e. dug deeper into houses and all that is related to them. I am technically a scorpio ascendant, but in such late degrees that there‘s only a tiny bit of scorpio 1 st house, the largest part of my 1st house is in Sagittarius. Since I found that out I began watching for example Sag monthly or yearly videos, i.e, now for 2023, and looking at my chart it feels SO much more accurate to me than thinking of scorpio 1st house, since that’s only 5 degrees left. So of course I am aware that the, say, Saturn and Pluto ingresses into their new signs this year will reach my 4th (Saturn) and 3d (Pluto) house (looking at my personal chart) a bit later during the transits, but it feels A LOT more accurate than going from scorpio 1st. So I guess I‘ll skip the whole house system and stick to Placidus which I feel at home in. As for the purpose subject, I‘ll keep it with what many spiritual people say: people‘s purpose is to just BE. That said, it makes life so much easier not to have to dwell on finding a certain purpose by all means. Simply BE and make the best of what has been given to you, talents etc., that‘s how I look at this.
I'm a late degree Leo rising and my whole house chart changes the house placement of every single planet. I can see how some stuff makes sense from that perspective, but it feels more like listening to a song in a foreign language.

Also, I‘m getting a feeling already from a Sag perspective what it‘ll mean when Saturn will go into my 4th: in the last few weeks I‘ve taken on a lot of responsibility for my elderly parents and that’ll be the biggest theme of that transit personally, it’s like Saturn is already giving me a preview. Nothing to do with the 5th, which would apply for Scorpio regarding Saturn. Same goes for Pluto in Aquarius, but that would be too long now 😉

I just thought of a good metaphor for astrology. Imagine you are a car. It helps to see what make it is, and forecasting is just the road, what hills are coming up, speed bumps, turns, when to stop and go, and strait aways...weeee
It seems to me that the most important factor in defining your meaning is the combination of your nodal axis (interpreted as in evolutionary astrology) and the position of Sun.
It can be, imo. Oppositions can have that push-and-pull tension, but it can also be collaborative. It's just harder for the two planets to find that middle ground.

It's been said that having too much trines in a chart could make someone lazy or complacent because things usually come easily for them. Whereas squares shows struggle, and what do you do when you're struggling? You work to resolve it.

I was born Late night March 20th. Everything I knew about astrology, which was very little, told me I was a Pisces. Then when anyone would say I acted like a fire sign I would argue with them. Anyway, I am actually an Aries sun Sagittarius rising. Found out last year 😂

Very good presentation I think and very honest and accurate remarks on the assets and limits of astrology. Following Robert Hand's advices, I've found the Koch house system quite relevant for me. I've also found precise and reliable pieces of information on the midpoints' system of the Ebertin family.
So interesting. I have a night chart with moon on MC. Aquarius rising and Saturn in 4th opp moon. I have lived in over 100 houses. Feel like a gypsy. I hate it and just want a forever home. I'm 50 and have hopefully just moved into one!

May I ask... how greatly should DST periods be considered.. ? Also, end degree signs cusps are quite complex to work with, do we apply both? The sidereal seems to connect dots better for me than tropical...... similarly to be said that campanus and whole sign house system seems more "applicable"...

Well I was just playing with astrology. I tried the hindu astrology free reading and most of it has become true. Like it says my studies will be held for awhile because there are too many people getting attracted to me. And it says I will marry a smart man. And in my husband reading it says he will be separated. I am always asking him to have annulment when I am in my crazy mode he is just not talking about it seriously and won't accept my challenges

Hi Cam, you limited the transits to the "personal" planets. Does it mean that transits from the outter planets have less impact? That they have more an impact on our environment than on us directly? I was wondering... and I surely subscribe to the idea of Saturn transits being heavier. I cannot wait any longer to see Saturn moving to my 6th house, so exhauting in the 5th house 😵💫
My irony is that i was born at midnight, under a full moon and w the sun in libra so the sun is also in its fall. You would think moon must be the most significant luminary for me and i should probably consider sun as a secondary, less impactful maybe but then bam, i got that leo ascendant so the sun is my chart ruler 😅 It gets confusing like that sometimes. My chart (and my self) is full of paradoxes like this, i guess we contain multitudes like walt whitman said ✌️ In astrological terms there are lots of oppositions (and squares and i love/resonate w ur perspective on the squares) in my chart so the energies require some blending otherwise it feels like im a walking paradox, no i'm not. Man everytime I watch your videos I find myself agreeing with damn near everything you say plus I often times learn something new. You rock Cam! I believe you said you live near Denver. I'm about 30 mins south! I was so damn bummed out that I missed the picnic 😢 However now it makes sense why it didn't work out. The amount that has clicked and the amount I've learned since then is huge. In other words , I was not ready and would of looked a fool. Watching this made me realize how much I've learned.

I was born Late night March 20th. Everything I knew about astrology, which was very little, told me I was a Pisces. Then when anyone would say I acted like a fire sign I would argue with them. Anyway, I am actually an Aries sun Sagittarius rising. Found out last year 😂

Very good presentation I think and very honest and accurate remarks on the assets and limits of astrology. Following Robert Hand's advices, I've found the Koch house system quite relevant for me. I've also found precise and reliable pieces of information on the midpoints' system of the Ebertin family.

So interesting. I have a night chart with moon on MC. Aquarius rising and Saturn in 4th opp moon. I have lived in over 100 houses. Feel like a gypsy. I hate it and just want a forever home. I'm 50 and have hopefully just moved into one!

Well I was just playing with astrology. I tried the hindu astrology free reading and most of it has become true. Like it says my studies will be held for awhile because there are too many people getting attracted to me. And it says I will marry a smart man. And in my husband reading it says he will be separated. I am always asking him to have annulment when I am in my crazy mode he is just not talking about it seriously and won't accept my challenges

Hi Cam, you limited the transits to the "personal" planets. Does it mean that transits from the outter planets have less impact? That they have more an impact on our environment than on us directly? I was wondering... and I surely subscribe to the idea of Saturn transits being heavier. I cannot wait any longer to see Saturn moving to my 6th house, so exhauting in the 5th house 😵💫

My irony is that i was born at midnight, under a full moon and w the sun in libra so the sun is also in its fall. You would think moon must be the most significant luminary for me and i should probably consider sun as a secondary, less impactful maybe but then bam, i got that leo ascendant so the sun is my chart ruler 😅 It gets confusing like that sometimes. My chart (and my self) is full of paradoxes like this, i guess we contain multitudes like walt whitman said ✌️ In astrological terms there are lots of oppositions (and squares and i love/resonate w ur perspective on the squares) in my chart so the energies require some blending otherwise it feels like im a walking paradox, no i'm not. Sayanora everybody 😭
