    Small J frame size revolvers are so easy to carry. I think they still have a place in today's CCW. Great for a quick run to the convenience store.

    This pistol is accurate, lightweight, easy to carry, excellent ergonomics and in .357 is very capable. My main edc and no regrets.

    One of my favorite carry revolvers. It's light, tiny, has a really nice grip, and a very smooth double action trigger. With it being so light, I thought the recoil from .357 magnum would be terrible for fast, follow up shots. The large grip really allows you to manage recoil well (you still feel it though). Plus it reminds me of Guido Mista's revolver from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure.

    Regarding the .357 vs. 38 in these light snub nose guns, of course they can be shot in .357 magnum, and some shooters swill be proficient with it, but it's not going to be the majority, as they require a lot of training. And though a .357, even in a short barrel, will be more effective than a 38, a lot of its ballistic advantage is lost in sub 3 (if not 4) inches barrels, begging the question of trade-offs between controlability / comfort vs. power. Personally, I'd pick a snub nose chambered in .357 vs. its 38 counterpart for the reasons you mention (the little extra heft makes it easier to shoot), but would carry it only with a decent JHP 38+P. Which in my view is the best compromise.

    Another great review! Love watching you all shoot. I'm thinking of getting one of these for summer carry here in Louisiana (or as a back up for colder months). I like that you can change the front sight, unlike the J frame, and the polymer is weather resistant. Something you'll carry without worry about wear and tear.

      Yes Sir! It is a Revolver that is made to use as a daily carry gun, or a back up handgun. Either way it is really excellent delivering big power as a 357 magnum, and will not break your hand if you need to use it in a defensive situation. 🥳🤠👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. Beretta Sr.

    Great review. I like the idea of the LCR but I prefer my SP101. I have a 38 Special LCR that I find too uncomfortable to shoot regularly. So I embrace the belt holster SP101 versus the pocket carry-able LCR. Having owned up to that I'd buy the LCRx in a heart beat...when I can find one. Some days I just enjoy being conflicted.

    Slick little revolver. Looking for one for my mom who is not tall, has small hands, and not very strong. She once had a Colt revolver but can't remember the model. Will this Ruger be a good recommendation? Also, how durable are those fiber optic front sights? I'm also looking for a 6 shot ~4" barrel revolver. I can't remember which one you reviewed a while back that I liked? It was and S&W that Beretta Jr. had. Great review as always!

    These little revolvers are indispensable. I carry S&W 340M&P all day every day because you can hide it anywhere. Practice with .38 and full load .357 HURTS, but hopefully I’ll never need to use it and if I do I do t mind a sore wrist. Sure there’s only 5 rounds. If I’m going to the city I add a 1911 or similar. I get why you are running.38 ammo but why spend the extra for the .357 when they make it in .38+p? I mean Ruger wouldn’t put it out there if it wasn’t a good product.

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  4 місяці тому

      Really a pretty simple reason….. it gives an owner options of what to feed it. Especially if ammo in general is hard to come by. Not Being Produced etc. 🧐🤨. Beretta Sr.

    Letting us know the distance to the Target would be really nice. A short barrel like this should not be shot more than 15 ft. Total self-defense. Any further away? You're risking a bad Court decision

      Its not something you go to range and put 500 rounds through. I have a GP 100 for that. That being said, its fine to shoot 38 special and .357 rounds practicing. Its a perfect conceal and carry pistol, the GP 100 is not.
