Looks good! Lol, my experience with debarking was as a kid, scraping the bark off of cedar logs for my dad to use for fence posts. I can't remember what we used, but I remember it being hot and hard work. He "paid" us by paying for a bottle calf we raised to sell for meat. Haha, there was a lot of work in my childhood, but it built character, I think. 😂
Sounds like the typical Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn and the white washed fence scenario :D Absolutely though on building caricature and instilling values. A lot there for sure. You may have been using a draw knife.
Although I am definitely more patient than days past I still get frustrated. At those times it is time to take a break and come back later so one can think a little more clearly...and calmly :)
Rust is definitely an enemy in this part of the country. That project was a little bit of a head scratcher to figure out the less intrusive way to avoid damage.
@@edieboudreau9637 Thanks. Quite often I look at the parts manual and not the maintenance or shop manual to see how things go together to study how things operate or function. I'm better at reading pictures than words.
Good to see y'all still kicking around and doing well. I been so busy getting things done before September 13 Elul 24 🤔😊. I look forward to catching up on y'all's endeavors. Y'all are two of the most knowledgeable and fascinating people to watch on UA-cam!! God is good all the time! Shalom, and may God be with us all!!
His videos like this are even older than mine when they go up because he shot a bunch of them back to back on the Wood Mizer and they take me a long time to edit so I only do at most, one per week and sometimes it may be a couple of weeks before I get to them and we have had a very cold spring and summer
You did a great job at cleaning the rust out. It's moving freely, just like it came off the assembly line.
Good job Patrick!!
Thank you Wendy :)

You are so patient, my Ex used to get mad fixing things and throw the pieces in the woods ad then had to hunt for them. Nothing seems to rattle you.

Yes. Scratching the paint let's Rust get a hold.
Glad you didn't give up on that hard to get to area.

@@MrRain-hk4zi yes. Interesting to see how you process & solve mechanical issues.

@@MrRain-hk4zi you must do great with ancient Egyptian symbols.
@@edieboudreau9637 LOL!
Nice job Patrick. I would had gone with the break cylinder hone, but I do already have one.
That would definitely been a better solution. One of those tools one seldom uses but when he needs it, it sure is handy.
Nicely done! I was hoping for a demo of it working? I guess its not fully ready yet huh!? Take care yall!
He already has one here: ua-cam.com/video/6jM58VWKGc8/v-deo.html
I was talking about the debarker, but no problem.
We will have to get more videos out on it. The debarker works great. Not 100% effective but definitely an improvement and worth having.
Hi Patrick.
Hello there Edie, appreciate ya hanging out with us!

Mr. Rain is it cold out? Lol

Ha ha. Sometimes, even in summer it can be a little on the cool side around here. I think the video footage on this one is perhaps a few months old :)
Great job, just curious the sawmill only has 92 hours on it but it looks like it’s very old was it able to stay inside of a barn out of the weather?
He keeps it covered whenever not in use but I do not think the people he bought it from kept it very protected
