I’m a 50 yr old black man from The Bronx who watches a shit ton of gangster movies.. but I can’t get enough of marvelous maisel. Incredible show. Makes me wish I could go back and live in that time period.

I was a young child during the late 50s-early 60s. I certainly remember the 1960-61 period. Not sure how much more innocent it was; things were just kept behind closed doors more. And yeah, rampant racism, antisemitism, and all-around social pressures we don't have today. Women dying from back-alley abortions; gay people facing much worse discrimination than today. As a girl, there were things I just couldn't aspire to. Couldn't even wear pants to school. Even in the coldest weather, we'd have to wear them under our skirts, and then remove them inside the building. Seriously. And that was a public school. And despite Covid, a lot more deaths back then from things people survive today. Lack of internet was good in some ways, but there are resources for learning available now that people couldn't dream of back then. I wouldn't be quick to wish us back there. I do miss social occasions without phones, though, I must admit.

I wish I had all of their names so they could all have some credit but I don't recognize any of the others. They were all fantastic though! ❣️

They must have done this outdoors version as a publicity piece, or else it was cut from the episode, because the dancers only appear inside the studio.

Like everything else: the more you do it, the better you get. If you have any talent for it. And anyway, there weren’t that many different steps in this sequence.
Showbiz Success is really about giving as many people as you can some work/exposure The well paid cast were there but you can be sure that whatever agency handles those talented dancers got paid as well and hopefully that trickled down to the dancers, too
It looked like a "Land of 1000 Dances" type of medley of '60s-style dance moves. They got the choreography, but most of the dancers seemed to forget that dancing this way should be fun, not just for onlookers.
@@LindaMz24, not smiling is not equivalent to not having fun. These dancers look like the assistant producer has just told them they won't be paid for rehearsal time. Not having fun, and not the style.
The dancers are not supposed to smile. That is actually a part of this dance. If they were smiling, then that means they were doing this dance incorrectly.
Great to see.......professional millionaire footballers would have fallen dowm and cried if this happened to them.....Love to see pure wonderful talented people.
