Oud Rosewood is my personal fave... Some nice fruit notes along with a delicious medicinal and slightly animalic oud. Sniffed purple oud once but may need to revisit! Thanks for the vid Marc!

I haven’t tried Purple Oud yet. I’ll get a sample… On another note, call me crazy, but Dior’s Oud Rosewood reminds me of TF’s Tuscan Leather. Raspberry smoked woods vibe like Tuscan Leather… I passed on a bottle because I expected Oud along the lines of Leather Oud (masculine) and Oud Ispahan (feminine). It didn’t occur to me that I ought to have a standard leather.
Sounds interesting, never tried it, as I said I'm afraid of this line 😆and I agree, doesn't sound purple to me. I really like Vetiver but is one of those notes that I have to be in the mood to wear it, love Terre D'Hermes, but I don't use it frequently. There's actually a clone by Lattafa that I smelled a few months back for anyone looking to get a feel for the scent. Not a bad take at all, just a bit watered down. Nothing stunning imo, but a solid scent and certainly not oud heavy. Purple Wood, that's it. Just remembered.
Thought Hermes Agar Ebene is unique until this came along.😅 Same feel but side by side they go on different directions. I hardly pick up vetiver here though, so i wouldnt really say its similar to Sycomore but that only says perfume is so subjective. I enjoy the spicy green dry top-mid as much as my foresty perfumes, very wearable and not cloying at all. Re the name, nothing to do with purple notes but in the site they say Purple Oud focuses on the spicy facet of oud, Oud rosewood of woody and Ispahan of floral.
I dont know man... LVMH is losing me with the same old same old when Areej Le Dore, Bortnikoff & Ensar are sometimes equally priced and far far far more interesting for real oud heads ... but I have never smelled Purple Oud so I guess I cant comment...but if I did I have a feeling I would look like this 😒

Recently got the Eden Roc shower gel. Like the shower gel the scent however was just okay. Have not smelt PO
I do want to sniff Eden to see if it's that bad.
Have you tried Bvulgari Tygar, that one makes me think of Purple like Grape Drink but its amazing
