Quick research shows this too: their coach is Jack Sock - a former tennis pro now pickleball pro - great choice there I'm sure he'll get them totally up to speed on the short game, strategy etc. Then I saw Agassi's investment into Komodo Pickleball - which paddles are shown in this video. Product placement huh? gotta love it. I had the Tech Challenge IV - they were dope.

I tried this. I didn't like it. My son didn't like it. I don't like the feeling of a board hitting the ball. I like to feel the trampoline effect of a string bed. But they are trying hard to promote this thing. If Agassi and Graf are not paid a lot to promote, they wouldn't touch that paddle.

@carlrodrigues6919 No fun, and another thing that is not fun AT ALL is the bounce. The ball bounces so low, and the paddle is short, so you have to bend your back all the time unless you take it on the air, but then if that's the case, badminton is a lot more fun. All in all, PB is kind of a sh1tty game.

Don't know about German culture, but in many cultures, my native one included, women don't take the last name of the husband. If the woman is married, she could be referred to as Mrs. + her husband name in conversation, but there's no legal process of changing name. Of course, she could do it if she wanted, but it's not an expected thing to do like in the US.

What's interesting is that the technique doesn't translate over 100%. So if you don't incorporate pro-pickleball technique, you can't beat a pro-pickleball player - despite having top tennis mechanics.

It's funny to see adults play in something called the 'Pickleball' league and take it so seriously, as if their lives depended on it.
To think that parents used to buy their 5 year old children a plastic bat and sponge ball, then make/let them hit the 'ball' over a bench in the backyard, just so they could get a break from them, that's Pickleball.

Don't be so hard with it. I love tennis and padel, both really fun to play. I have not played pickleball yet (not very popular in Belgium), and the only problem I see is that I have the impression (when I watch it on UA-cam) I have to bend my lower back too much. Otherwise it looks a nice game.

Another thing that really intrigues me is why some sports gets more popular than others in different countries (like for example Padel is generally more appreciated in latin countries, and picketball in UK and US... I wonder if it is only a thing due to fashion and momentum , or if there is some deeper cultural factor at play...
@@mirocasanova try it and let us know what you think.. to me picketball feels wrong because of the feel I get with how the racket is shaped and especially for the balls.. plastic balls really feel terrible.. they make me feel like I am playing ping pong on an oversize table.

Graf is the GOAT then it's Martina then it's either Serena or Margaret Court (Serena might get the nod) but Serena lacked consistency outside of slams & too many ups & downs. She didn't have most slams, most weeks at no 1, most year end no 1, best winning percentage, winning streak & neither have calendar or golden slam. It's USA biased media who heavily promote Serena because she is black otherwise if she happened to be blonde born in some European countries then nobody would put Serena on top. It's a total politics.
