I really like this kind of analysis. I would be glad to see more strategically deep barrage-Content here, setup analysis, commented games, evaluation of nations or XOs - I just watched literally all of your barrage-videos, most of them more than once. Thank you very much for your effords.
@@christophsitte944 well thanks for the kind comment! Barrage is still my favourite game right now, I'm just not sure more in depth article videos are what people would like to see. I'm still going for sure to finish the nation cycle, and I'm thinking of doing one for the operatives. But commented games and setups are a bit niche, even though I absolutely LOVE making that kind of in depth comments. We'll see :)
That was quite a cool setup, and I didn't expect you to take the powerhouse external work. But yeah, so many structure contracts! Quite an unusual setup and start. I'd really enjoy seeing more of these, and maybe also a screenshot of the end game if you manage to take it, could be easier to discuss the outcome while looking at that screenshot.
That's actually a good idea. I'm also thinking about starting a weekly comment on the barrage discord channel about possibile strategies and openings given a certain setup. Let's see.
I think the good first step is to snatch the two construction contracts - green for base and powerhouse if you play as 2 bottom nations and another base if two top ones.
It's a possible opener, yeah. But securing a strong Ex Work + Loan Agency in a game that scores Ex Works in round 4 was more important in my opinion. There are 4 great contracts out, and any would be alright to me, so I didn't prioritize them as the first action
Hi Mario. Great video. It is very helpful that you explain your thought process. If possible I would like to play against you. Please continue with your videos.
Hi Mario. TLDR: Yes you should absolutely do more videos on Barrage strategy! You have a monopoly on a niche here. There is no other in depth source for Barrage strategy. So please keep them coming. I have some requests. First off: you have ranked the XO's, but not the expansion ones. Maybe a part two of the ranking? Second: you often speak of the base rushing strategy. Of course I can figure out the goal of that strategy, but since there is no actual strategy to be found I'm always wondering? Is it exclusive for a country or XO? Other strategic questions I still have are things like: the value of the concrete mixer (we call them starship enterprises) and the diggers (we call them klingongs) and the three spaces to get more of them. The value of the spinning actions. The value of the bank action. Which spaces do you consider best and which are worst? Is there any strategic gain ever to build a conduit for other players? Well.. as you can see I'm full of questions ;-)
Lol @monopoly , there's simply no space, this niche is so small! Funny thing, I was thinking about a value-map of the action spaces in Barrage. That might pique your interest!

You didn’t do the “it’s a me-ah, Mario” 😢
It's once again (a) me, Mario 😅
@@UpUrPlay do it with Mario voice :)
Great video! Definitely make some more like it
