First Great Ride of 2024 - Kawasaki ZX4RR - Akrapovic Full System - 4K POV

- Welcome to my channel! I'm looking to create high quality audio and visual POV rides exploring the great roads of CA. I'm out in my brand new with 300 miles on the odo ZX4RR. Unfortunately, the audio in this was all over the place. A combination of the auto gain of the Zoom and the location of the microphone going in and out of the wind made all kinds of varying sound levels. I'll grab a better sounding ride soon. Still a good run! Starts out with higher speed stuff and then a nice relaxed sprint through some forest area. I hope you enjoy the 16,000 rpm as much as I do!
Motorcycle:
2024 Kawasaki ZX4RR KRT
Akrapovic Full System
2WDW Tune
Dunlop Sportmax GPR300 tires
Filmed on Gopro Hero 7 Black ISO 100, Zoom H1N for audio
Gear:
Dainese Racing 4 Perforated Jacket
Helite Turtle 2 Airbag Vest
Dainese Drake Super Air Tex Pants
Sedici Strada II Parlare Bluetooth Helmet
Alpinestars Stella SMX-1 Air v2 Gloves
Alpinestars SMX 6 v2 Vented Boots
This is what I want to see from a ZX4rr video, 16k revs at every opportunity 👌👌
This is exactly what this bike was built for. 👍🏻
love this
riding it how she's supposed to be ridden and the akrapovic system is like the finest symphony
First POV video of actuall canyon riding using the revs and actually taking corners in "full" speed with the zx4rr? More of this!
getting out my own as soon as snow and gravel gets away from our roads here in Sweden.. zx4rr is my very first bike, so the hype is real!
How could not love me his bike?! The sound with a blinding death speed just a fun great sounding bike that you can ride hard
great riding!! looks fun.
Above 10k pretty much the whole time :) It's easy to know when it is happy or not I like how you started riding lower in the power band when it got damp. Love this video! I mean it's peaky, but I liked how you discovered the midrange towards the end.
Bought a 600 a few months ago. Still lust after this 400. I will own one someday.
First bike was a 600? Really wondering between this, R7, or just go straight for the zx6r cause the prices
@@uscgsj9549 Naw started on a ninja 300. The cbr600rr is my third bike. I reckon you could start on any of them but you will gain skills faster on a smaller bike.
love the way u hold the revs. it makes it so enjoyable. i do something similar with my porsche haha
This is perfect counterpoint to the Zx6 similar price point argument, in my mind. The 6 I imagine you're going to be in 2nd and low revs this entire time. If you think about it, the 600 used to be a 2nd bike when the 250-400 was outgrown, but with tech advancements this 400 is similar in power to those early 600s. Problem is a lot of bikes are more powerful and cheaper with the twin 270 crank, so folks in US are starting bigger than ever before and missing out.
This is so fun
Great video I’m waiting to collect mine next month 40th Anniversary edition full spec Uk 🇬🇧 spec
Nice man! I kinda regret not waiting to pick up a 40th. Gorgeous.
you are so damn lucky to have wide, well maintained roads over there , here in the UK, our roads are the worst in 100 years 😞
California has some of the best motorcycling roads in the world. Come visit sometime.
good sound 🔥
Killin it🤙🏼 Will a 6 foot tall human fit on this bike?
loved the ride
Smooth rider pipe sound quite
good riding!
The display is definitely nice...but ill always have a soft spot for a huge analog dial.
buena rodada buena moto y hermosos paisajes. donde es?
California del norte
@@rathmoto super nice Ty
Is this with or with the ECU flashed? Do you have a Euro spec or a USA spec?
Some great riding! Keep it up!
great ride.. those wet spots look sketchy though
Nice video, but you need to take your phone off the bars, it's not doing anything and it's covering up parts of the shot often.
This thing is going to be a big seller. But i am not sure if i should "Upgrade" my Ninja 400 to a 400cc...
Hell no upgrade to a 650 if you're scared or a ZX6R
@@LSB44446 I not scared or anything. It's just as nice as this thing is i don't think it's worth it. Besides im too satisfied with my ninja 400.
Maybe next year.
@@LSB44446majority of 650’s out on the market are slower than the zx4rr. 1 exception is the cbr650r, but even that isn’t much faster because it’s a bit heavier.
Sound screaming, mph or kmh?
Mph
where is this place, so wonderful for a ride
What’s the break in period look like? Mine comes in next month.
Be nice to it for 600 miles. I was nice to it for 100 miles, did an oil change and sent it.
Why did you get the zx4rr and not the zx6r?
It's a valid question and I think the most honest answer I can give is that, to me, more power doesn't always mean more fun. And this bike I think best represents the "slow bikes fast" mentality and it just feels right. That and all that good 90's Japan nostalgia of small cc 4's.
Buy a 6r That's a year old and costs less then a new 4rr. Save money, more power, and most likely already has upgrades like exhaust and frame sliders.
@@robertgiaquinto9256 Do your homework and research insurance premiums between the two first.
@@rathmoto that response really made me understand the zx4rr
@@robertgiaquinto9256 if you've never ridden a 400/4 you don't/can't get it. They are just more fun. Yeah a 600 is faster, so is a litre and a ballistic missile is faster too, the speed of light etc.
But to be able to use the bike's full potential and power all the time, is great.
A lot of people fall into the "my mates have all got litre bikes, I'd better do as they say" mentality, rather than making their own mind's up after trying something different, it's not always about 200bhp and 200mph+
Why does no one change the damn shift light setting? How does it not drive you nuts? It's the first thing I did to mine after getting it home.
I changed it after this 😆
Did you notice a big difference with the tune?
Full Akrapovic exhaust means header to muffler end pipe?
What road are you on?
The other motorcycle sounds so lifeless, boring in comparison to your inline 4 screamer.
I rode the bike home from the dealership then immediately put the full system and the tune on, so I didn’t get a lot of time with the bike in stock form. I can say it pulls hard through redline in the current state. The road is skags from Sonoma to the coast.
@@rathmoto
Nice.
Enjoy.
Has the motor been unrestricted/tuned?
Yup, I went with 2WDW for the tune.
@@rathmotowhat are the numbers??
@@thecamdenyard Something like mid-high 70s at the wheel.
why does the rev blink all the time ??
It's criminal of your DOT to set the speed limit on that road to 30mph. A road like that in my neck of the woods would be 55... 45 at minimum.
😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡
I've been thinking about getting ones of these! It's kind of a turd I see😮
I wonder why so many bikers who are using mobilephones while driving, use the device vertically instead of horizontal position 🤔
I want this bike so badly. In the 40th anniversary colors.
Bad to have the phone that close to your head for extended periods
Why?
bro he's on a sportbike he doesn't care about the dangers of a phone close to his head 🤣
can be desactivated the quicksifter?
Yes, you can turn it on and off.
Rip iPhone Promax internal organs ☹️
It should be okay, I have the vibration damper.
If a man rides into gravel at that speed, bye bye .Cheers
Only so much you can do. Wear good gear, don’t go too crazy, have insurance.
Is that kmh or mph?
Mph
Well I fell asleep thru that lol😂
じれったい
Ugliest but the best sounding sport bike.
You're joking right! It's frickin gorgeous in the 40th anniversary scheme
@@amococ2487 I'm 100% serious. They looks like shit. The only good looking Kawa is the H2.
@TfGamess H2 is definitely not s good looking bike. The front end is a mess. Now I know you're joking
@@amococ2487 it's just a personal preference, i like it, idc if you don't
