I grew up in Eastern Ct and many of my friends were daily farmers. Sometimes I’d show up and help my friends so we could go do fun things. I worked on a chicken farm part time and full time summers from 14 till 18.
@@chrismanning1746 I worked at Arbor Acres in Glastonbury for 3 1/2 years in high school from 1967 to 1971. I worked weekends, school vacations and summers there.

@@chrismanning1746 I went into the service right out of high school in 71. After i got out I came back to Ct for 4 years and then moved to Alaska where I worked in electronics and communications before retiring. I lived in Lebanon in grade school and we had a few Mannings in our class.
I lived in Milwaukee in the sixties when we took rides in the country we would see these types of farms all the time as we would drive past the farm we would yell here bossy here bossy some time they would look up and some time run and follow us

I live in Scotland Connecticut I also worked for a chicken farm and dairy farms in the area

Most of these mom and pop operations have been put out of business by large corporate farms.
