After watching this video, I am completely shocked that their employee used the screwdriver @ 8:45 pressed up against the new disk to push back the caliper pistons! That could damage the new discs! I wouldn’t want anybody working on my car in this fashion! Especially if I’m paying a shop to do the work, which I don’t understand why anyone would when they should learn to do it themselves! You get a better quality job and you know it’s done right with a piston expander specifically designed for calipers! I’m really shocked😮😮😮
Yeah you could do it like that but it’s best and just smart to push on the pads to recess the pistons into the caliper while the old rotor is still in place so that any damage is done to a rotor thats being replaced anyways.
I am still rockin those 2 piece rotors on front n rear with ebc redstuff the past 7 years = no issues… I’m guessing the carbotechs will eat up rotors faster but that’s the plan for track duty ?
I can't believe Z1 is using this dude to promote their product line and services. It's shocking how careless and sloppy he is in his work. I've seen him cut so many corners on multiple videos and actually cause damage to customer vehicles with the most casual "oopsie" attitude. Two things to take away from this video is do NOT let this guy touch your car, and do NOT by any means use what he is doing as a tutorial. As a rule of thumb, if you watch a "tutorial" of someone working on brakes and there isn't a torque wrench in sight, turn that shit off.
Is this the same process as the new z nismo or a different video? I just installed my own dowpipes and exhaust on my 2024 Nissan z nismo and god damn never again….. freaking heat shields a pain in the ass as well as v bands

Yup I was thinking the same thing lmao

You guys are great, but I wouldn’t let you change my brakes. 😂
Literally 🤣
I did mine 2 years ago full OE set up.👍🏽
I literally just got done with this last weekend.
Where can i buy these rotors
Whats fancy hanger duhickey you used on the caliper 👀

I hope he didn’t forget the spacer on the rear passenger side
Why on earth didn't you grease the high points on the edge of the pads
I need some G35 content
Nah keep the Z34 constant coming 🤧✍🏽
Perhaps someday, the torque wrench will be invented. 😂
