TUTORIAL: Paramount 100th Anniversary Intro HD

Tutorial on how to make your own personalized, custom Paramount Pictures 100th Anniversary Intro / Paramount 2014 Logo in Full HD.
Needed software:
Adobe After Effects CS5.5 or newer
Blender 2.79b from download.blender.org/release/...
Instructions:
1.) Unzip the Downloaded ZIP Folder.
2.) Open "Paramount100 Blender File" in Blender.
2.1) Right click the title and press TAB to enter edit mode.
2.2) Edit your title.
2.3) Press TAB again to exit edit mode.
2.4) Make sure the title animates correctly.
3.) Open "Paramount100 After Effects File" in After Effects CS5.5+.
3.1) Double click the subtitle layer and edit your subtitle.
3.2) (Optional) Edit the smiley face layer.
4.) Select the "Paramount100" composition.
4.1) Click "Composition", then "Add to Render Queue" or "Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue".
4.2) Click the link next to "Output Module", then change the format to H.264, Check "Audio Output" and click OK.
4.3) Click the link next to "Output To" and select a folder to save to.
4.3) Click Render.

Hello I attempted this, it works but the reflections doesn't work on the text rendered by blender for some reason, its just grey instead of that metallic finish.

You are saying that any title shouldn't be visible through the camera at 1:20 in this video.
However, I can see edges of the titles at 1:35.

+Jakeofthunder That happens automatically if you follow all the steps. Make sure to remember to unzip and when you're done in Blender, let it render ("Animation").

For some reason when I open it, the text mad ewith blender still has the black background when I open the after effects file.

I tried rendering with blender 3.2 but all I got was grey images, all the mirror and scattering effects were not rendered, is there a way to fix this?
You need to use 2.79b (see description). Any newer versions do not work.

Hello good morning, can you help me? In Blender, I wrote the word NEGA, but the letter N was very separate from the other letters E-G-A, how do I approximate the letter N without changing the position of the letters E-G-A?
Ah, yes, that's a tricky one. Here's a trick I use:
- Duplicate the title (Shift+D, Left click immediately without moving mouse)
- Make one title "N" and the other title "EGA" (using edit mode, TAB)
- Convert both titles to Mesh (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+C)
- Select "N", enter edit mode, select all (A) and move it to the left
- Repeat for "EGA" and move to the right

@@Ballyweg Tank you! As a complement: If you have to resize the text at frame 300, you should join the two objects first:
- right click the first text-object to select
- holding Shift and right click the second text-object to select
- Press Ctrl+J to join the two objects

There seems to be a number of files missing when I try to open the After Effects file, is it because I'm doing it on a Mac?
This should also work on Mac. The missing files are generated by Blender when it is rendering (Animation button). This will take a few hours.

Hi, is there any way I could do this in a new version of Blender ? Tried the 2.79b (I was on 3.60 before, I uninstalled it then) but it puts the grey wall and it's really pissing me off, if you have any advice please tell me ! (I rendered on Sheepit not on my computer, but the last version possible to access is 3.00)

thanks my mistake, i fixed it, but when try to make smaller my name it make a jump and get small sudenly and not progressive.
You should use the font size option in the fonts menu (on the right side) ti change the size.
there is a folder missing called RENDER , the folder is in the tutorial but not in the zip file and that's why I cannot in after effects there are rainbow images appearing from frame 12 onwards
The RENDER folder is populated by Blender when it is rendering. Once you press Animation, you should see the .png files appear one by one.

That most commonly caused by using the incorrect Blender version. Use 2.79b.

No, After Effects automatically loads the files from the RENDER folder. This of course only works when you haven't changed the folder structure and remembered to unzip the files.
Can you please make a Paramount 2014 template for Blender? I don't have enough money to buy Adobe Effects, and i really really want to use this template for future school projects. Thanks!

Ok so I did everything but the problem I have is that the text isn’t rendered correctly. Everything else is fine but the text doesn’t have the mirror and scattering effects and it still remains gray

Many settings are different when using Cycles compared to Blender render and they are not interchangeable. I do not have enough experience to do this and make it look good in Cycles.
