Be using this method a lot this year. Can you get away with doing maples mixed with the hemp at the same time or are they a little too big?

No i'd keep well away from particles, pellet or groundbait and just use boilies

At least that’s how it’s spelled here in New Mexico! Probably because our Chile Peppers are the best in the world and are too good to be spelled with an i!
I was fly fishing the other day and I putted on a little piece of Hemp Twine on for a strike indicator, and the fish actually seemed more interested in the hemp than the fly!
I’m thinking I should try fishing with hemp more and also since it’s almost Chile harvest time here this might be something cool to try out!

flynn given-garner thxs mate, I'll look into that one but I usually use the chilli hemp as my base feed for a spod mix, I usually add boilies, maize hemp or whatever you want.

Yes cool box keeps the heat in for longer so it cooks in the cool box

For flaked maize yes
Have you tried to cook other dry particles like Maize and mixed particles using the cool box method?

How large a particle would you use this method for? I am considering bird seed, and cracked corn, aka crushed maize.

Ill tell you one ive been using all summer and im reluctant to share as they go loopy for it and you know how once something catches on you loose that edge, still i cant be that way....but Garlic and Ginger, i crush a small lump of fresh ginger into a paint strainer ( fine cloth bag) and put 4 or five garlic segments in and let it soak n then boil, remove em when its done and use the hemp as normal... they are like crack heads for the shit for some reason, knock up a bit and see for yourself 👍👍

Garlic is used in the aquarium hobby to ad to medicated fish food . Only way will get the fish to eat it .
Don’t know why or what it is about the garlic but it triggers a feeding frenzy
do you worry about tap water and the stuff they put in it I've always used lake water?

Brilliant advice, I had not considered preparing hemp in this way, I will be trying it!
Give it a go Neil, you will be surprised just how good it comes out as all the liquid stays inside the cooler box and steams the hemp. let me know how you get on.

No you need a cool box so it will keep the heat in and cook the particles

Hi, Yes if you freeze it straight away it acts like fresh hemp, i even refreeze if i havent used it all on my fishing sessions

Jordan Ricketts unfortunately not, this fresh chilli hemp, you will now have to either use it or freeze it
Leon, I was looking at the SSP System-X baits and know you are using them, what has been your experience of using the baits? Are the shelf life boilies worth considering as I do lots of short sessions.

Hi neil, you wont go far wrong with the shellife, i use them myself as well as the feezer baits. plus they work all year round
how long will this last before you have to throw it out
should be about 10 days Steve, even if it starts to go off slightly its still usable mate. Infact they love it thats its turning a bit, but not too much.

re-hydrate your boilies in the left over water.

I like to strain the hemp then put all the water into a large pan and simmer it and reduce it down until it starts to go syrupy, then let it cool and use it as a liquid attractant or boilie glug. Caution......This really does stink the house out so open some windows and your kitchen door.

The amount I put in was 5kg that bag is 20kg I believe

Hi Danny, you should be able to get it at a pet store or an animal feed wholesaler or failing that Hinders and GJW Titmus do it also amongst others.
