Some will never figure out how to get Rotom-Wash in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. But famous player Jim Cool is well aware of the Best Rotom-Wash Moveset in Competitive. Many aren't and never will be. That's just the reality of the world.

Scream Tail is the Jigglypuff of our wildest dreams. It has been buffed with some higher statistics and the incredible ability, Protosynthesis. Gen 9 Competitive Pokemon wouldn't be the same without this powerful pink blob. He kinda looks like someone I met in one of my game design and development courses.
Gen 9 Pokemon Showdown is one of the greatest online gaming sites in history. From Pikachu and Charizard, to Palafin and Roaring Moon, The new Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, have introduced a lot of new faces. Can I succeed in one of the best android games of all time? If so, I'm gonna get myself a Walmart bakery Pokemon cake to celebrate.
Gholdengo is a Pokemon made of pure gold. He must have done some online business management courses to accumulate all that wealth. Or perhaps he might want to learn how to make money playing video games on UA-cam. In any case, he's a powerful metagame force, with absolutely no interest in online game development schools.

Rotom W and Garchomp surviving the power creep every gen probably enjoying a nice cup of tea while the rest of the roster is on fire lmao
I feel even Garchomp has suffered from power creep, sure it's still running around but its role has changed, gone are the offensive sets like Swords Dance and Choice Band that used to be its bread & butter, now it's strictly limited to a support role.
Well rotom wash dropped to uu last gen. Probably due to the abundance of new pivoting moves like teleport and flip turn made it’s role as a defensive pivot less valuable

Chomp‘s incredible bulk, STABs and decent speed still allow it to run occasional offensive sets and the main reason for those being not as prominent as they were last Gen for example is that it lost Scale Shot. Loaded Dice + SD is a serious threat in NatDex
@@3771m it would've risen to OU in the last couple months of gen 8 but the new rule of freezing tier rises for the last 2 cycles caused it to remain in UU

Rotom Wash and Swampert showed us the benefit of having a great type combo with only 1 weakness

An insane base stat total might make a pokemon dominant for a generation or 2, but they're bound to get powercrept. A combination of typing, good ability, and utility is what determines they're staying power. Looks at Dragonite; it was basically an inferior salamence for generations, but access to multi scale and extreme speed make it a dominant force in the current metagame
love Rotom-Wash but it was really refreshing to see Rotom-Heat finally be viable in early gen 8 OU
One thing that was missed that Rotom-W lost in this gen is Pain Split. I think that's the reason why we didn't see a lot of Rotom in the first few weeks of the format since people assumed it would lack longevity due to the loss of its main form of recovery. But then people just slapped protect on its leftover sets and called it a day and we're good to go lmao.

I love Big Washus. So consistently amazing without ever being overly centralizing.
One of the reasons why Breloom is still popular. It's probably the best counter to Rotom-Wash.
But Breloom hates taking Willo Wisp
This is true, but this also goes both ways for rotom and breloom players. Plus If loom comes in on hydro pump or protect, wash has to run away.

its a great pokemon and has always helped me break through annoying defensive steels like corviknight and ferrothorn

Rotom-WashedUp being in RU hurts my soul
I think there would literally need to be a Pokemon designed to hardcounter Rotom-W for it to ever get chased any lower than UU.
I.E. a Water-Ground type with a decent attack stat, access to Thousand Arrows and something like Water Bubble.
I’m so happy that a form of my favourite Pokémon has a permanent spotlight in the competitive scene

Rotom wash is my favorite pokemon it's awesome that it also pairs well with another all arounder incineroar countering water and ground type.
My favorite Pokémon have always been the ones that can withstand the test of time which is one of the reasons Scizor is my fav Pokémon and Rotom wash is also a really cool Pokémon its nice to see these Pokémon remain viable in a metagame full of fast offensive threats

Each time I use rotom wash he gets blown away by something else and since he can't heal himself he becomes really useless in late game, but he is probably the best wil o wisper right now aside from skeledirge.

i like paring rotom wash with kingambit. rotom gets rid of the pesky ground and fire types that can threaten kingambit for it to set up a reverse sweep. pair this with iron val and/or dragapult and you got a pretty strong gang to pummel plenty precarious pokemon

I've always liked how consistent as a defensive pivot Rotom-Wash has been.
I made a team of annoyers back in Gen V, and the Rotom I used really helped keeping up momentum to get another Pokémon in.
Rotom been solid for years, and not OP can't hate on him perfect example of a balance mon
Rotom wash holds a special place in my heart. When I was building my first comp team in x and y, I thought volt switch was physical for some reason. I spent hours and hours breeding for the perfect Rotom wash. And eventually got it!

I personally love Rotom Wash. His viability extends to VGC as well with his access to discharge to threaten paralysis on both mons at once, while also being complimentary to another ageless pokemon, garchomp in punishing physical attackers with a defensive rocky helmet set and utilizing his immunity to discharge. My favorite singles pokemon of all time tho is Greninja, and im happy he still has a place in Gen 9 Comp. Excellent video ^^
In Gen 4 I was one of the kids lucky enough to get the Secret Key event from Toys R Us, and used some of the Rotom forms in the Platinum Battle Frontier because they would revert if you tried to do much else with them
My favourite team that I made in gen8 (when I was actually able to make decent teams unlike in gen9 lol) had this guy. Kartana, rotom wash, volcarona, blissey, tapu koko and garchomp. It's a solid mon

i literally gave my quaquavel a lum berry just for this mon, and ive never made a better competitive decision in my life, them switching in on mt aqua step, the they try to burn with will o wisp only for it to be cured and me get a swords dance of, and proceed to ohko it is glorious

my biggest gripe with Rotom Wash is that it completely steals the show from other Rotom forms, I would love to see them more often, especially the more obscure ones like Fridge and Fan

The one thing I don't get is why do people not bring in Mow Rotom to counter Wash Rotom?

i love it when cute looking pokemon have qualities that make them vital to almost every competitive team. Seeing a little guy like Rotom obliterate a massive Ground or Rock type is hilarious to me

Rotom doesn't sweep you... WASHES YOU IN THE MOST EFFICIENT, FAST, PAINFUL AND HUMILIATING WAY POSSIBLE... to top it off, in English Wash starts with W... which is also a symbol of WIN.
