My late dad got me into jetboating when I was a kid... I'm nearly 50 now... Back then he had a what you might call a OG mini boat.... I'm talking the 1970s.... Ten foot long fiberglass hull called a pet jet! alloy hillman imp motor and a English Ua jetunit... It would go over 1" of water no worries... Not fast but got the job done for the day... The first time I went in it I was hooked! Yep I'm a jetboat addict.🤦♂️😂
Loved it! Makes me want to learn how to weld. I mostly build with wood. Can’t weld wood but I like building stuff. Lol great vid! Keep ‘em coming Eric!
Eric as a custom sign fabricator every step that you used to build this boat is some of the thing I've done over 40 years. Aluminium does move a lot when tach welding.
I enjoy your content so much. I don't get to see Kelly often enough, but through your videos, I do. Next time, yall come to Grants Pass steaks and treats on me. Thanks again !
I may be wrong, but when you first started welding the back of that transom, it sure looked to me like a black widow, coulda been a less dangerous brown widow spider and some eggs sacks back there. 😮 As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Soon as I get stuff paid back down I'm ordering one of these kits... I wanted to build an Ultralight but, my wife about had a canary.... She's right.... I'd get myself killed... Besides.. A miniboat looks like it would be just as much fun.
I wish I was your neighbor I would be over to help anytime you called. I love to learn. I admit I first watched your channel because of cleetus but your next video was building one of the race boats and you had me hook line and sinker, love working metal, fabricating and racing, and your channel has all of that. I would love to get a mini, I live and fish on the Fraser River so mini jet would be perfect. I will see you at the races next year I plan to make it out for one of them. good luck across the pond with your new ride!!!!

@@JollyRoger907 You know what you are doing, their first build after a day or 2 of working and welding non-stop you could just see the "I think we might have bit off more than we thought" look in both their faces. Seeing how you can do it on your own does help us folks who probably have to do most work on our own. Only can ask your wife for help often enough before she tells you no. Lol.
In your opinion what would be the best and or easiest jet ski motor for a 14-16 foot flat bottom jet boat. I’ve never built one befor but Wouk want to keep it light a 40 hp jet out board is about perfect for what running and fishing the wife and I do. Love watching you build then race your own boats
Brother you’re asking someone who drives a 1000 HP Raceboat lol. The Yamaha SVHO is pretty much the best jetski motor out there. However, it’s not light and way more power than you’re talking about. For lightweight, the kawasaki 1100 triple 2-stroke is a proven motor. For 4-strokes….maybe the Seadoo spark but I don’t know much s out those.
2 questions did you ever do the video explaining who the Jolly Rogers players are , like the team's, drivers , navigators, mechanics ,etc . And what do you think this on boat will cost ? Not labor or welding wire , just the boat and eng and pump, etc . I try to watch all the videos and didn't know if missed one talking about these 2 questions already. Thanks
I started out with a tigershark triple 2smoke in my MotoJet and it was super light but a bit under powered for 2 big guys. RS made some killer 2smokers in back in 2014-15 . Cant wait to see what you do with yours. 11ft is the mini limit according the the Kiwis
What kind of welder do you have and would you recommend It for someone? I have other welders just nothing that will do aluminum so i’d be getting it pretty much just for that
I don’t think very well due to a very heavy stern. These boats are so short they can’t displace the weight very well so if you hang an outboard off the back it’s going to squat a lot and draw 2 feet of water just sitting there static.
This sounds like a really cool project. We talked some last week about growth and I was thinking latter that night that you TheBoostedBoiz would be a grate place to take notes from. I am glad to hear you are watching there stuff! Keep up the grate work I love your channel!

Kawasaki 750 triple, " The Widow Maker" . Working practically like. a super fab guy.

Not that Kawasaki 750 triple, but I know what your referring to.
Haven’t heard that name for it before

Interesting contrast from watching Cleet and James build theirs.

Miller 255 for MIG and Miller Dynasty 200DX for TIG. I did put it up on an older video.
How would these boats be with a thick transom and an outboard? Different supports for transom and higher up for the motor.

Your safety is your responsibility, BUT my stomach hurts every time I see that saw on the grinder.
Lol it freaks out everyone I know 🤣
I just think you wanted to go sledding this winter.
I do!
I say 14 and up is no longer min!
Seems reasonable
Should I bring my dirt bike down??? Kx250 aluminum frame conversion
Lol yessss
A wood jig so all the al u min ium lines up with all bends/angles etc?
I like the ratchet straps but it's gotta warp
One man gig jig, you gots this!
Not really needed with a precut kit like this.
A ten footer would be a MICRO BOAT.
Ehhhh maybe lol

I think $2900
