I've got the same. But I can't get the ubolt through both holes in the hitch itself. How???

I don't remember how he did it. My son put it on there. It's in the shop right now or I'd go out there and look.

Is there a trick to getting the U bolt into the hitch plate holes?

Not that I recall. You might have to squeeze a little bit. Things are not always usually what they seem. Make sure you have the plate facing the right way.

I'll try and get a video of me pulling something. We just pull a little wagon nothing big. This doesn't have enough power to pull anything big

You can do whatever you want. Not sure what the difference would be except maybe different specs and power
