Kaaba was built by Abraham and the pagans later on put idols in there, so it was a monotheistic house of God prior to it getting polluted by idols. So when Muslims took it back they cleansed it of idols. Thats not the same as people mocking and denigrating the Sacred Scriptures on a daily basis. I kept repeating this clip: “I’m not willing to make the positive assertion that it’s ungodly but I’m unwilling to make the negative assertion that it’s ungodly. There is a slight difference”. So what I got from that is, “its not godly but neither would I say it’s ungodly if I saw a fellow Christian decimate the Quran”. It seems like there is a false sentiment to the whole idea of “peace and love” when it’s human nature to do something so insulting to ones religion rather than to go and have an intellectual discussion with someone. And NO, there is no context in which you prove a point to someone by burning their holy scriptures. This Christian seems to be struggling with his moral conscious from that statement he made. Believe me, these people will have you thinking that they are very intelligent with how articulate they seem to be, but if you listen closely you can very easily dismantle their argument. Actually he had a point there, he said that there are some things that are not paramount to faith, and there is no need, in his opinion, to attack that, but when it comes to the Prophet, he is a necessary figure on our faith, therefore they would attack with characatures and insults to fight against falsehood. Ie if we (muslims) can destroy idols due to the idea of destroying falsehood then Christians can destroy what they consider to be false (Ie the Quran). However, this means the argumentation should change. Now the arguemtn should focus on how Christianity is "loving" and the guys point was that it is loving as it focuses on telling people hard truths and inviting then to the truth. Islam also fits that definition so from now on, Christians should admit that Islam is also a religion of love. 2nd point is that, I agreed with the guy when he started defining freedom of speech. He said it should be done academically and not as an ad hominem. Therefore the argument should have been made as to whether hatun did what she did due to being academic or being insulting for the sake of insulting. We know she has been refuted on the issue of the preservation of the Quran, many times over. She hasn't responded. Good points. I agree. The Christian was spot on that they can insult the prophet s.a.w. because they consider him as false but your ad hominem vs academic argument applies here too. If they are doing it for the sake of provocation and insult then no, but if it is done to mount an academic challenge in the quest between truth and falsehood then I don't see anything wrong with that provided it is done in a constructive way. The el classico i.e. taking things out of context, You say Surah Tauba verse 30 curses upon Christains for calling Jesus the son of God to show that it's from some evil spirit but then you also quote Surah Yunus verse 94 to show that Quran states to see the message in previous books as well. These two points simply contradict your claim. From Surah Al-Imran verse 48, you are claiming that in since other prophets were taught to read and write then Prophet Muhammad PBUH should have been too then, by your logic, you should also not accept anyone prophet till they ruled in the same way like Prophet Suleman (Solomon) did. In fact, Islam is a religion for all mankind, therefore Islam cares about humanitarian matters in all areas of life so that humans can live calmly, peacefully & happily (safe & prosperous) not only living in this world but also living in the afterlife (life after death). 28:00 Ali's argument is weak here about the demolition of the idles in Kaaba. The actual argument is, Kaaba was established by Ibrahim and is a place of worship for Muslims to Allah. Originally Arabs were monotheist and used to pray to Allah but then in the context of hundreds of years of Religio-Economic development in Mecca, arabs accommodated idles from other concopts. e.g. goddess Lat was an imported idle simply to attract tourists and pilgrims from other religions. So once the prophet won Mecca, he simply re-established the original faith and demolished whatever is not part if Islamic faith. This was solely within the Kaaba premise which belongs to Allah. There were people who still wasn't Muslims and used to worship those idles and might have idles in their houses. Prophet never ordered anyone to demolish idles of people who had them in their houses. So the accusation of insulting other idles by the Prophet is lamest to the peak. Specially when they compare it to the actions done by Charlie Hebdo. Wow! People in 2021 don't believe in democracy. Thats crazy. What kind of world would you rather live in then? If you don't believe in democracy, and think there's a "better" system in which to live, why do you CHOOSE to live in a democratic society/country? Interesting aguement. I'm just wondering if anyone else knows whether the Prophet (SAW) ordered the destruction of idol in a place of muslim worship (the Kabah) only? The idols were desecrating the sanctitiy of the Kabah and they were effectively removed! This is very differnet from his arguements of iconaclasm because the Prophet (SAW) did not order going into another religions place of worship to destroy falsehood. Let me respond quickly to the point where the Christian says, that drilling the quran is the same as destroying statues. The reason why Abraham piece be oppon him did that, was to show that these statues (which were there gods) can’t help them, they can’t provide for them neither protect them from harm. These Statues („Gods“) couldn’t even protect themselves from being destroyed. We claim that the Quran is a book sent from god, its not undestroyable. Abraham wanted to show the people there, that these are false gods. There is also the difference between when Abraham (a.s) destroyed the Statues and when Mohammed (a.s) destroyed the statues. Mohammed (a.s) destroyed the statues because he was now the leader of Mecca. He didn’t to that when he was at the primary stage of the prophecy.
But when Mecca was conquered by Prophet Muhammad(pbuh), there was no pagan left, was there?. They either converted to Islam or left Mecca.. So destroying Idols would have had no impact on anyone whatsoever. But drillin holes in Quran, well it has impacted every muslim all over the world!. So I don't think it is a equivalent situation!

Freedom of Speech has boundaries. If you cross that boundary. It is not a freedom of Speech and these boundaries are different for different communities. These statements about the physical symptoms exhibited by Muhammad when he saw the spirit were not made by strangers, non Muslims or people who did not know him.
These statements were made by Aisha, Muhammad's favourite wife, relatives and his close followers who strongly believed that he was the seal of the prophets.

Actually he had a point there, he said that there are some things that are not paramount to faith, and there is no need, in his opinion, to attack that, but when it comes to the Prophet, he is a necessary figure on our faith, therefore they would attack with characatures and insults to fight against falsehood. The Christian fella made some good points. Ie if we (muslims) can destroy idols due to the idea of destroying falsehood then Christians can destroy what they consider to be false (Ie the Quran).
However, this means the argumentation should change. Now the arguemtn should focus on how Christianity is "loving" and the guys point was that it is loving as it focuses on telling people hard truths and inviting then to the truth. Islam also fits that definition so from now on, Christians should admit that Islam is also a religion of love.
2nd point is that, I agreed with the guy when he started defining freedom of speech. He said it should be done academically and not as an ad hominem.
Therefore the argument should have been made as to whether hatun did what she did due to being academic or being insulting for the sake of insulting. We know she has been refuted on the issue of the preservation of the Quran, many times over. She hasn't responded. IF she was trying to be academic then she should have brought arguments, not a defiled Mushaf.

Muhammad was one day meditating in the cave, a spirit visited him, pressed his chest tightly such that, he thought he was going to die. But on each occasion, Muhammad told the spirit he was illiterate and couldn't read.
After this encounter with the spirit in the cave, Muhammad thought he had been visited by a demon and ran to his wife in fear. He said to Khadija, his wife, 'cover me' she covered him until his fear was over.
Muhammad related what had transpired in the cave to his wife and said, 'O Khadija, what is wrong with me? What has happened to me? I am afraid for myself! However, Khadija and on the advice of lbn Neafal her cousin managed to convince Muhammad that the spirit was Gabriel.
But the spirit did not introduce itself as the angel Gabriel.

ii. The angel Gabriel also appeared to Zachariah father of John the Baptist who is called Yahya in the Qur'an he identified himself and said to Zachariah : Do not be afraid, Zacharia ...... I am angel Gabriel that stand in the presence of God (Luke 1:13-19)
iii. Gabriel appeared to Mary, MOTHER of JESUS CHRIST our Lord.
Mary was scared but Gabriel said to her: Do not be afraid, Mary (Luke 1:30)
2) Had the spirit been Gabriel, he would not have contradicted his former revelations. Six hundred (600) years before the birth of Muhammad, the real angel Gabriel said to Mary that she would bear a child who will be the Son of God: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35).
But the spirit which appeared to Muhammad told him JESUS was not the son of God:... The Christians call Christ the son of Allah .... Allah's curse be on them (Sura 9:30).
If; the spirit that appeared to Muhammad were angel Gabriel, it would not have said JESUS was not the son of God.
3) Had the spirit been Gabriel. He would have taught Muhammad to read and write.
The Qur'an declares that Allah taught JESUS how to write: "'And Allah will teach him the book and wisdom, the Torah and the gospel" (Sura 3:48).
The famous Qur'an Commentator ibn Kathir in his exposition of the Qur'an (vol.1 p.344) says:
'The book mentioned here means write. We would expect that Mohammed, who calls himself the seal of the prophets, would be taught to read and write.
The spirit said in his revelation to Muhammad Read: and thy lord the most Bounteous, who teaches by the pen, teacheth man that which he know not (Sura 96:3-4).
The question is if God teaches man that which he know not by the pen, why did he not teach Muhammad (the 'senior prophet) how to read and write instead of leaving him illiterate all his life?
4) We learn from Islamic tradition that on several occasions when Muhammad saw the spirit, he would be so frightened he would run home to his wife and ask her to cover him with clothes:
"I was called again and raised my head, and there on the Throne in the open atmosphere he, i.e. Gabriel (peace be upon him) was sitting. I began to tremble on account of fear. I came to Khadija and said: Wrap me up.
They wrapped me up and threw water on me..." (Sahih Muslim book 1 ch.74 no.307 p.100. Narrated by Jabir)
At other times, Muhammad experienced some strange physical symptoms. From Hadith Mishkat, we learn that, sometimes he would shrive and swoon, roar like a camel and white foamy saliva would come from his mouth (Hadith Mishkat iv p.359).
Sometimes when he receive revelation(s) there was the sound like the buzzing of bees near his face (source: Umar Ibnu'l Khattab), while at other times, he felt a tremendous headache.
Muhammad once said: "At times it comes to me like the ringing of a bell and that is most severe for me... and at time an Angel in the form of a human being comes to me... (Sahih Muslim vol.4 book 28 no.5765-5767 p.1248)
However, it is unclear why Mohammed later said, "...The bell is the musical instrument of Satan." Sahih Muslim vol.3 book 22 no.5279, also Abu Dawud vol.2 no.2548 -2550
According Ahmad b. Hanbal, "He became distressed, foaming at the mouth and closing his eyes. At times he snorted like a young camel (Ahmad b. Hanbal I, 34, 464, vi.163). This gave rise to the allegation in certain quarters Muhammad was epileptic.
Prophet Muhammad according to 'Amr Ibn Sharhabil, mentioned to his wife, Khadija, that he feared he was possessed by demons and wondered whether others consider him possessed [i.e. evil spirits] (source: pfanoter 1910:345).
These statements about the physical symptoms exhibited by Muhammad when he saw the spirit were not made by strangers, non Muslims or people who did not know him.
These statements were made by Aisha, Muhammad's favourite wife, relatives and his close followers who strongly believed that he was the seal of the prophets.
All these people happened to be very close to Muhammad, whom knew the alleged prophet well!
Yet when the same angel Gabriel visited Daniel, Zachariah and even Mary, none of them had convulsions with foam coming from their mouths.
Neither did they hear the sounds of bells ringing nor the buzzing of bees near their faces. They did not roar like a camel or swoon, etc.
Over time Muhammad started having some doubts about the revelations he received from the spirit.
Allah (God) directed Muhammad to check the truth from the 'Book:'
If thou wert in doubt as to what we have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the book from before thee (Sura Yunus 10:94).
The 'book' mentioned in this verse is the Holy Bible.
If Muhammad were a learned man, he would have known what the Holy Bible says concerning Satan:
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Mohammed was not only deceived then, but the hadiths record that later he was under an evil spell too. (Bukhari vol.4 book 53 chapter 34 and vol.4 no.400 p.267)

Because there are things that Prophet Musa (Moses) did that Prophet Isa (Jesus) didn't do. As a Muslim, we accept the fact that certain prophets had given certain protocols that were not given to everyone.
Half the references you provided don't support your claim while the other half don't make sense.
The el classico i.e. taking things out of context, You say Surah Tauba verse 30 curses upon Christains for calling Jesus the son of God to show that it's from some evil spirit but then you also quote Surah Yunus verse 94 to show that Quran states to see the message in previous books as well. These two points simply contradict your claim.
From Surah Al-Imran verse 48, you are claiming that in since other prophets were taught to read and write then Prophet Muhammad PBUH should have been too then, by your logic, you should also not accept anyone prophet till they ruled in the same way like Prophet Suleman (Solomon) did.
I don't know about these references:
Sahih Muslim vol.3 book 22 no.5279 -> This reference doesn't make sense hadith 5279 is in volume 5 and talks about how one should drink while sitting.
also Abu Dawud vol.2 no.2548 -2550 -> This reference also doesn't make sense as hadith 2548-2550 are in volume 3 and talks about how one should take care of riding beasts and cattle.
Ahmad b. Hanbal I, 34, 464, vi.163 -> I don't even know what these numbers supposed to represent. I went through all of them and none of them say what you claim it says.

28:00 Ali's argument is weak here about the demolition of the idles in Kaaba. The actual argument is, Kaaba was established by Ibrahim and is a place of worship for Muslims to Allah.
Originally Arabs were monotheist and used to pray to Allah but then in the context of hundreds of years of Religio-Economic development in Mecca, arabs accommodated idles from other concopts. e.g. goddess Lat was an imported idle simply to attract tourists and pilgrims from other religions.
So once the prophet won Mecca, he simply re-established the original faith and demolished whatever is not part if Islamic faith. This was solely within the Kaaba premise which belongs to Allah.
There were people who still wasn't Muslims and used to worship those idles and might have idles in their houses. Prophet never ordered anyone to demolish idles of people who had them in their houses.
So the accusation of insulting other idles by the Prophet is lamest to the peak. Specially when they compare it to the actions done by Charlie Hebdo.

I always find it quite funny when the people who hate the society/country in which they live, continually complain about it... yet they still choose to remain where they claim to hate.

Interesting aguement. I'm just wondering if anyone else knows whether the Prophet (SAW) ordered the destruction of idol in a place of muslim worship (the Kabah) only? The idols were desecrating the sanctitiy of the Kabah and they were effectively removed! This is very differnet from his arguements of iconaclasm because the Prophet (SAW) did not order going into another religions place of worship to destroy falsehood. Let me respond quickly to the point where the Christian says, that drilling the quran is the same as destroying statues. The reason why Abraham piece be oppon him did that, was to show that these statues (which were there gods) can’t help them, they can’t provide for them neither protect them from harm. These Statues („Gods“) couldn’t even protect themselves from being destroyed. We claim that the Quran is a book sent from god, its not undestroyable. Abraham wanted to show the people there, that these are false gods.
There is also the difference between when Abraham (a.s) destroyed the Statues and when Mohammed (a.s) destroyed the statues.
Mohammed (a.s) destroyed the statues because he was now the leader of Mecca. He didn’t to that when he was at the primary stage of the prophecy.

Freedom of Speech has boundaries. If you cross that boundary. It is not a freedom of Speech and these boundaries are different for different communities.
For Example in Islam Making images of Prophets is considered a blasphemy and if someone does that it hurts Muslims and definitely there will be consequences. and If someone else does the same thing to Christianity or Judaism the reaction will be the same.
