Awesome comparison. I still have my 8 (2020 version), and cause it was my first tablet and I have had no issues with it, just looking to update. I have play store side loaded and it's working perfectly. Only thing I noticed is apps may take a few seconds to open at times, but it never really hangs up or crashes. Plus I can play all my Google games even call of duty runs perfect. I probably hold off on upgrading then, as my tablet even after 1+ year it's awesome.
I have Fire hd8 10th gen would it be stupid if I traded it in for the new 7? I would use it for reading and watching content. The 8 is heavy and I’m looking for something lighter that won’t hurt my wrist.
I have all the fires and I think for reading both the new 7 and 10th Gen 8 should be similar. But streaming, processor speed, screen quality is better on the 10th Gen. If you are willing to accept 0.5to 1 sec more lag whenever you open app/load, going to the new 7 for convenience could make sense.
How is fire 7 versus 8 in terms of memory , and processing? I’m inclining towards fire 7 due to size of the tablet. But wanna know how much space would apps take if you buy a 32 gb fire 7.

Thank you for this informative content it helps a lot for people like me whos looking for budget tablet with a good feature 👍
Is the 10 too heavy to hold for long periods of time? I love the 10 specs but feel like the 8 may be much better for holding for extended periods
Amazon needs to put cellular data on to the fire tablets.
No, they don't. This isn't supposed to be an expensive device.
That would be awesome! Maybe 13th gen
@@PersonaIncognito shut up karen
I have the Amazon Fire 10 Plus from last year, which I love, but Its too heavy and bulky. I'm going to get the 8 plus for reading books,
Walmart actually has their version of tablets but they suck.
Can you stiill side load Google play on the new deevices?
Yes you can. I have sideloaded it on the HD 7 and the 8
@@TheFrenchGlow do you have a link or tutorial? thx ^^
I saw blogs saying that when you have the latest OS update, Google Play should work without any more issues.
Does the Fire HD 8 get security updates/patches for a few years like an Android device?
Yes it does from Amazon but not as regularly as a pixel or iPhone.

Why not place all this info within a table and talk through it?!
