- Recently I had the pleasure of having my good friend Taylor who is active duty out at the range to train together, I asked him to bring his full ‘fighting loadout’ to do a video of it. He goes over his full kit setup in the video, as well as the reasons he chose certain brands and items, and why he runs them. Quick helpful tip , rub a thin layer of gun oil on the lens of the light. Easy wipe off and keeps the carbon buildup to a minimum. 🤙🏼🇺🇸

3 years in the navy doing VBSS, are you a Boatswain Mate? I’ve been into shooting for over a decade and I don’t have anywhere near as cool gear/ setups as y’all you have nearly just started. Pretty legit. Stay safe and Semper Fortis amigo.

Not a BM. VBSS is open to pretty much any rate as long as the ship supports the teams. And the cool gear comes with poor financial decisions lol. Definitely don’t need the coolest gear to be just as or even more effective. That comes with training 🤙🏼
@@TapRackTyler I did, I was a Hospital Corpsman. I didn’t go blue Navy route, I ended up going FMF/ green side (I got FMF GCE qualified) with 2/6 and got to do infantry training and deployments. Had a lot of fun and got to experience a whole array of FUBAR with the Marine Corps.

What make and model ballistic plates is your friend running here?
The plates he has rn are Lvl 4 Kells which is now owned by Protec. He also runs Hesco L210 special threats
@@TapRackTyler Interesting, so only level 4 ceramic and hard plates. I thought about using IIIA+ ceramic front and back and IIIA+ soft side plates myself, thoughts on that? I do mixed mechanized infantry and patrol/raid work with commandos..
@@danielney6the honest truth is that would probably be high enough protection. I just chose to go up in the certified lvl of protection because I want as much as I can get. Soft armor if good for drag or smal calibers. However, which I can’t speak off experience, I feel like hard plates over soft armor would be more effective and stopping and preventing injuries from a round that goes thousands of feet per second. Armor choice comes down to mission and then what are you willing to give up to save on weight. But I think your plate choice would be enough.

How is he rocking the 10.3" SBR in Californiastan? I live in the gunshine state, so I'm only subject to the ATF's tyranny. Is that the reason for the face covering, not so legal? If so, fight the good fight brother, just don't get caught.
He is active duty. Hopefully one day we don’t have to worry about that 🙏🏼🤘🏼

A lot of reasons, identity concealment for the most part.
Mainly because I don’t care to have my face all over UA-cam at the moment.
Never will understand why people try to hide their identity, but then show identifiers.. like tattoos
Still concealed, if you don’t know the face helps a lot. Not to say tattoos won’t give away and confirm as well, but just another layer I suppose.
I do love the mentality of don’t buy an expensive quality knife just wait till someone wants to trade you an expensive quality knife 🤣🫡
