Boon was leaving you in the dust. lol. The band at the Suk Sabai was pretty fun, Ramones followed up by the Arctic Monkeys. Love it. Boon shows you the video to let you know what’s gonna happen if you step out of line, lol. Thanks for another fun video Joe.
Thanks for your vlogs from the hood. It's good to know about that soi that's not Khoasan Rd. I spotted a few oldies, so I wouldn't be alone. Cheap beer and a good rock band too. I'll check it out. I'll be in Bangkok after my visit to China. I'm sweating heaps already🥵😅
Khao San road reminds me when my friends and I used to do TJ nights in the 90's when we in our 20. I grew up in Southern CA, driving to TJ the bars would shake your head while pouring tequila and make sounds with a whistle😂. Im too old for that now early 50's. Im like you and prefer the laid back bars playing soft music. I guess I'm an old guy now😅
Ya man, I did my high school years in TJ too. I used to live at Iguanas at Pueblo Amigo. Nirvana, Janes Addiction, Chili Peppers and a 100 more great bands. I still like a good loud band, but the EDM isn't my thing. Maybe the laughing gas helps. I'll stick to the side streets.

I have avoided Khao san road every trip so far, but this time we will stay close; about 10 minutes walking distance from our hotel. I guess I will have to make a quick visit and then retire back to Rambutri (?) road. It looks a little bit more laidback :)
There are some great bars that are much more chill on the streets bordering Khao San rd., all the vendors ruined it for me, I heard they tried to get rid of them and they all wouldn't leave so they gave up. Like you, I think it is for the twenty something crowd.
Bullshit corona just a distant memory but it's just a little reminder about how to enjoy yourself cause your freedoms can be took away at the drop if a hat, great video buddy 👍
That noodle stall owner used to be a World Boxing Champion in a flyweight category of the IBF. Proper Boxing! Not a muaythai world champion as you mentioned.
Thanks for going there so I don't have to!😂 The side street looked good though, thanks for the video. Qq, it's getting hard to get brand new £50 notes from local banks, used notes are available, though. Do you think this will be a problem when exchanging at Superich, etc?
@EagerExpat thanks Joe, I'll risk it . The notes are polymer, so should be good. Out of interest, do you know the daily ATM withdrawal limit please? Used to be 10k Baht, but I think they raised it
It's not my type of music. Then again, I like old school punk. So who am I to judge. Luckily, I can just head around the corner and listen to the Ramones covers.
I stayed on khao San back in the early eighties on my first trip to Thailand. Boy has it changed.
The whole world has changed since the 80's. But Khao San is still crazy. That's a good thing. It could be another mall today.
เป็นอีกคลิป ที่น่ารักค่ะ บรรยากาสดี น่าเดินค่ะ 👍💖💜🌸🌺🌷🎉
Thank you very much
Great video. I love that area good vibration can’t wait cheers 🍻
Thanks for watching.

Ha ha, ya don't get out of line with a girl who does muay Thai. Not a good idea
@@EagerExpat you’ve got that right. lol.
Thanks for your vlogs from the hood.

Ya man, come on over. China is cool, but there is only one Bangkok
Thanks! Now I can skip that !! ❤❤
Ha ha. I hear ya. I'd still go check out the side street. I'll film that street soon. But it's much more easy going.

@@K_one_w_one Ya man, the side street next to Khao San is a great spot. Come on down and check it out
Awesome video ❤😊
Thanks for watching. I'm not a Khao San guy, but I like seeing everyone having a good party. The side street is more my style
Cool vlog ❤
Thanks Mario. More videos to come.
Great vid.
I appreciate you watching. Thanks again
Rolling with the backpackers! Keep living the dream Brother, you and Boon are still looking good out there!🤘💪🙏
Ya man. The old backpacker area is still alive. Many young Thai's also hang out in the area. Still, I prefer the side street instead of Khao San.
Good to know about that street that's not Khoa San
It's a great side street. Khao San is fine once in a while. But, it's pretty intense. I prefer a mellow party these days.

Ya, I'm glad it's there. I'm all about a good party. But, the side streets are more my scene.
Last time I ate in Suk Sabai, the food was terrible. But ok live music
I didn't know they had food. The beer was good and cold

Thanks Joe, one place will not bother with, common sense Chas.
The side trip is cool. But Khoa San is wild

Oh wow, thanks for the correction. I just assumed he was Muay Thai. That's impressive.
@@EagerExpat great video. Keep it coming. Been watching everyday!
@@chayakompativejpisal8337 That's great man. More to come.

Qq, it's getting hard to get brand new £50 notes from local banks, used notes are available, though. Do you think this will be a problem when exchanging at Superich, etc?
Hey Andy. I think the 50 notes are fine as long as they are clean, no rips, no marks. But, I haven't exchanges money in years.
@EagerExpat thanks Joe, I'll risk it . The notes are polymer, so should be good. Out of interest, do you know the daily ATM withdrawal limit please? Used to be 10k Baht, but I think they raised it
@@No_Strings Hey Andy, I'm not sure. I know I take out 20k once in awhile. I think I can take 25K out, I just never do.
The balloons have nitrous oxide in them.
Yup. I flashed that on the screen. Also known as laughing gas. It's probably not a great mix with booze.
Can you call a grab from Khalsa road and get a decent price?
You can. I ended up paying a taxi 200b to get us back to Phrom Phong. Fair enough.
How far is that from the Nana Soi4 area?
I'm not sure. Maybe 6km. It's best to take a taxi from perhaps the MBK area.
It's miles away. I walked it once in the daytime. Fortunately, the 2 places attract a different crowd.
EDM is just noise
