When I heard near the beginning of the video there would be no explicit gangster rap at the beach I almost quit watching the video. However, I’m so glad I stuck with it to get not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, BUT 5 bonus spins. (Side spin was my favorite) Luckily you were in the Bahamas as this number of bonus spins would probably be banned on U.S. soil. 😥 Then on top of that we end up getting rap hour too. We were thinking to go up and start a proper ruckus if they had not started playing the explicit rap music. The lack of it was ruining our experience so much. I believe I read on the sign that the maximum spinnage allowed on Grand Bahama island is still one spin per person, just as it is here in the States; however, there were five of us in our group on the excursion and they allowed me to borrow everyone else's spin. Our special guest Michael's spin technically only counted as a half-spin per Bahamian law, due to the fact that he was not in the footage himself. We were disappointed that he did not take advantage of his other half-spin later that day. I got a voucher to redeem that half-spin myself on a future visit, but I seem to have misplaced it... hmmm... oh well. The tide is high, and I'm movin' on, as it were...

We did indeed! We haven't found a way to book it independently, so I think it's only offered through the ship. It's usually listed as "Beach Day", "Beach Day With Open Bar", and "All-Inclusive Beach Getaway" on the ship for the three tiers. We usually do the middle level with drinks but no food.
We used to sometimes make Freeport a "nope" day, ha ha... but we've really enjoyed the beach getaway dealie twice now. We probably won't do it every time, but getting to capture those rays for a second... wow!!

Yes, we used to struggle for ideas of things to do in Freeport, but we've had a lot of fun at this beach club both times... little cold, but we soon forgot about all that, hah!!
In one of my recent videos my son and I "swam" with the pigs in Freeport. A girl from Sweden in a group after us was bit by one of them. They rode in the same shuttle as us and told us the story. Those little adorable bundles of delicious bacon will try to eat anything. Swimmers beware....of adorableness and hungry piglets.

Oh we looove Deadman's Reef!! I love how the old ship excursions called it "Paradise Cove" or whatever it was, hah. We did the ship excursion to snorkel there two or three times before, and we were sad to see it was no longer listed on the official excursion list. We toyed with the idea of catching a cab down there and taking our own gear though. Awesome!! :D
They must have opened a "new" resort spot, because this was not the Paradise Cove, that was just about 1/2 miles down the beach. We were pretty much the only ones on our beach that day. The cruise ships don't partner with where we went. All the excursions to the beach got canceled the day we went, and we just found someone at the port to take us still.
Oh interesting! Yes, the place we used to go (before we started vlogging, sadly ha ha...) was called Deadman's Reef something... it was easy entry from the beach to snorkel, and there were folks at a little counter who would cook you grilled conch or conch fritters. Sort of run down and nothing fancy, but we liked it!
