Tobago's October Carnival Budget Not Finalised, Plans Underway

With just over six weeks to go, Tobago’s October Carnival stakeholders say plans are well underway.
At a Press Conference on Tuesday, they said that during a recent road show in Trinidad thousands have expressed interest and are expected.
Chairman of the Tobago Festivals Commission, Kern Cowan, said this third October Carnival will be bigger and better, considering both masqueraders and spectators.
However, the October Carnival budget is yet to be finalised.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Tobago Emergency Management Agency, and the Environmental Management Authority are also in conversations with organisers of the event and have voiced their readiness to address any concerns.
