    Bass have been the very same here in Ireland all small I’m wondering are they the only ones getting through the nets I wonder all the bigger fish all been swept up ?

      I have also been wondering that as the sizes here in the last few years are under or just over. They just don't seem to get any bigger year on year. Its like they are being filtered.

    I never actually ate fresh cooked mackerel all the mackerel I get is canned preserved

      If you can get smoked Mackerel , try it , Nothing compares .

      Canned is completely different from fresh but both good in their own way.

      You should try it. In my opinion the most tasty fish. Easiest way to cook, get some filets of mackrel, put them on a baking tray on some grease proof paper, a drizzle of oil, pinch of salt en pepper and chuch them under the grill untiĺ cooked. Yummy!
