  • 2 pieces of 19 gauge square wire, 12 inches each
    22 gauge half-round wire(no need to measure and pre cut, just keep it on the spool and use as needed)
    Small cabochon(mine is blue kyanite, about ½ inch tall )
    All my wire is dead-soft bare copper
    I oxidize my bare copper wire using liver of sulfur to achieve that darker look you see in the thumbnail of the video, here is a video on how I oxidize: • How to Oxidize Bare Co...

    Your artwork is very inspiring! Im just getting into wire wrapping and you’ve helped me make some beautiful wire wraps which I’ve customized to make my own unique adjustments, also because i wouldn’t want to completely copy your pieces :) thank you very much!

      @@JardineFlower I haven't made this specific one. But ive made similar ones. And yes it's pretty easy...then again, I've been wrapping for a few years already. I would say, just to make sure your wire is dead soft. So it's easier to move around. Because the more you bend and move it, you'll be work hardening it. Meaning that the wire will get harder to move and stiffer. And could potentially break off as you wrap. If you mess with it too much. And dead soft wire will allow you to move it a bit more then half hard or hard wire. Hope that makes sense.

    Man, I did a couple of your other tutorials and a really intricate one from another person's tutorial and I tried doing this one and somehow I just completely screwed it up lol. I don't know what i did but it looks like a kid was weaving it.

    What you are so careful with is that you've apparently considered
    where to bend and curve to avoid wire fatigue which brings
    metal stiffness in the wrong place. U R at least >2 steps ahead :-)

    Hi Oxana! Love this design! What is actually meant by “heady”? Thanks!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 років тому +1

      I am not sure where that term derives from, but usually it involves coils and just a lot of wire around the stone.
