Hi Alan, the great news is that you have already been set free by Jesus! “It is finished”. My prayer for you is to not feel better, but believe better! Our emotions come from a well spring of self-centeredness. Our anger & offense survives on that sandy foundation. When you identify those emotions, identify that truth, and hand them over to the One who’s qualified and has ALREADY dealt with them.

@@alanragsdale9220 By actively changing your perspective. Feelings are a great tool for deception. They are utilized by the enemy to stand before and block faith. Relying on feelings is that sandy foundation because they will never be consistent! However, relying on faith is a CHOICE that takes those feelings captive in the moment. It’s a matter of practical repetition & responsibility. Faith is like a muscle, it requires exercise. It’s not easy, right? It’s not supposed to be. The struggle can be painful, but the struggle is beneficial to growth. The weight never gets lighter, but it does get easier over time when you put in the work.
Feelings will drag you down a dirt road if you allow them to lead, but making the conscious decision to let faith lead is the active denial of those feelings in the moment! Does that make sense?
Our brains are like computers. Our responses are automated. Life produces the mess, our brains build the paths & bridges around those messes, but has utilized EMOTIONS as the building material in previous repairs. It’s our covenant responsibility to rebuild those paths & bridges with faith, not emotions. That’s why we must DENY OURSELVES. Jesus said His yoke is light, but remember a yoke requires your participation with Jesus. When you’re yoked to Him, He will make your previous ways His ways.
You can’t just pray to feel happy. That’s not of His will. But when you put your hand to the plow and participate in FAITH, over time, “feelings” will have no other choice but to run and keep up with you & Jesus, and you will see that they’ll have to conform to your faith instead of preventing it!
Stay in front of feelings by keeping too busy to give them time. When they sneak ahead and tire you out, and they will, and you “say I can’t go any further”, look to Who you’re yoked to and He will say, “Yes WE can!”, and believe Him!
This is how we run the good fight of faith!

One of my aunts who I did not know but my dad did, aunts baby ran into the street and she went after him, a car came along and killed my aunt, when my dad woke up from emergency surgery apendiex he found out she had died. My dad always felt his life was spared, because his aunt died, my dad had a dream while he was in surgery and saw the aunt, this was the same day the aunt ran after the toddler who ran into the street.
This is a great message!
I have a younger sister who abandoned her writing career to serve the cult of child sacrifice in the lie of “woman’s rights”. I love & pray for her, I keep communication open, but holding back my words to keep a bridge intact is not the least bit easy, especially when she’s waving a lit match. I’m not afraid of hurting her feelings. I am concerned with jeopardizing what bond we do have since I’m the only Christian she knows. All prayers & suggestions are welcomed.

Remember, I said the Lord had given me insights with scripture galore on marriage and that would be contemplating as well to share with the Church. It's not onerous at all its such a Gift! And we don't want to miss a jot or tittle or add any condemnation or oppressiveness to such a Gift.

Yes I have a hatred for 2 people,my son & daughter as children were raped,one is now dead,&other was constantly released from prison, actually owned a children's nursery after one of his releases.,this man had raped close to 50 to 100 children that I'm aware of...it is extremely hard to forgive something like this,I was not aware of mine until they were in there 40s,.

It's heavy subjects being discussed. There must be some moments to give the mind a break. Take it easy. Don't get so uptight.
This pastor just stood up and gave a great message that many pastors are too scared to even touch. Be thankful for that. And besides he wasn't being disrespectful in his humor. I am thankful for him.
