Joe is so clearly a Chelsea hater and has Man U down his throat. Idk how you not more harsh on Varane than Silva, also Botman is super disrespected. Honestly we need someone else to take this show over bc I’m tired of him
I can spot a Man United fan, when he puts both Varane and Martinez above Silva, despite the fact that MU and Chelsea conceded almost the same amount of goals last season, while this season, with quarter of it already behind, MU defence is shi.t.t.ing the bed quite obviously
Pretty obvious Chelsea fan aren’t you? TS was unreal last year but let’s be real, neither of our sides have hit even 50% of potential, our best of the season so far is just guys who haven’t sucked
Absolute criminal to put Thiago Silva in D tier. Last season he topped the PL for goal line clearances. His command of the defence and compensating for Kepas weaknesses was the saving grace for Chelsea last season. Without Silva they'd have probably been relegated. This season he had 1 error vs Forest but he's absolutely a starter and still central to leading Chelseas defence.
Not seen him step up enough in massive games against the best forwards. Remarkably consistent for his age, an amazing talent for sure but players like saliba araujo militao get into a tier when they’ve had numerous games where they’ve locked down the likes of haaland mbappe lewa benzema etc
Kounde this season has been the best defender for barcelona imo and its not even close but yes I understand he hasnt played as a cb in the past season so maybe that deducts a few points other than that he has been sensational
van dijk not in S is laughable. yes he's not as good as he was pre-injury but he still walks nto any back line in the world. he's a victim of his own previous ability
Araujo is probably the best center back in the world if it wasn’t for injuries. Saliba is great as well right now he is the best. He also gets injured but right now no. Araujo and Saliba are definitely fighting for first in terms of best center back.
Let me fix it for you S - Dias, Stones, Van Dijk A - Alaba, Rudiger, Konate, Varane, Araujo, Kim Min-Jae, Militao, Saliba B - Bastoni, Marqhinos, Gabriel, Martinez C - Thiago Silva, Gvardiaol, Kounde, Romero, Van De Ven, Botman D - Colwill, Skriniar, Upamecano, De Ligt
Typical Chelsea bias once again moving the goalpost to not include our CBs even though throughout the last few seasons we have had one of the best defence it was our scoring which let us down
Joe was all over the place lol. Last season or past achievements mattered for some and not for others. Saying you’d take an inexperienced 22 yr old Van De Ven over Thiago Silva in a big match tomorrow is a horrible shout
Imo Kounde is definitely better than all the others in that B tier. Deserves to be in A. The Danish Maldini deserves a spot here as well although I know you didn’t pick these. He should be B tier. A rolls Royce of a cb as many say
I do find it amusing and remarkable what a graveyard of a club Man Utd has been in recent years. They sign decent players and then they diminish to quickly and end up being flops. Varane's a crazy example of that, and so's Casemiro, world class then average in no time. Bruno for me has been the only player to avoid that drop, makes me wonder what he could have been at a better side.
Gabriel is A for me I genuinely think he’s not far off in quality from his partner, who is in fact the best cb in Europe. I respect your take on him he doesn’t get enough respect🤝
Even for an AC Milan like myself I fear that the bastoni being ranked lower than romero is absolute bs. Also, has saliba done enough on the international stage in comparison to Marquinos? Prem bias perhaps?

@@MrYounis26Miltao has been injured all season and end of last and Rudiger was still best defender by a large margin. Not better player than Militao , definitely better form
Stones does play as an out-and-out CB out of possession, it's just in possession that he moves up into the midfield. His fitness is an issue, and he is in the right category, but he's not playing as a pure DM right now
honestly De Ligt has got to be the most overrated Center back. His time at Juve was torrid (coming from a Serie A fan) and At Bayern he lost the starting slot after one year. He is just living off that one good season with Ajax
Thiago Silva in D tier has a Sofascore rating of 7.30 in the Premier League this season, while Saliba in S tier has a rating of 7.10. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? Sofascore ratings obviously aren't 100% accurate in determining a player's performance, but most of the time they are very accurate from my observations, since they are based on an algorithm that analyses stats. And other apps such as Fotmob also rate Silva higher than Saliba, so I guess you'd have to make an argument that every single algorithm in the world is wrong, to justify this ranking.

@@m4ttfrost1 this opinion that’s he’s so out of control is insane and can only be by someone who never watches him. He’s only been sent off once in 3 seasons at Spurs.
@@AuthenticMexicanflavors and he should of been sent off many more times but he has always got away with it from the refs. Him pulling Cucurella by the hair comes to mind.
@@m4ttfrost1 and if he was English he’d be viewed as an even better defender for “mastering the dark arts” and being “old school”
You have missed out Christensen who too played a crucial part in Barcelona’s title win. Absolutely criminal 😢
What part of "These are the 25 most commented people in the replies" makes you think Joe handpicked the list?
No one will ever have the fear factor that VVD had , he had everything, speed , aerial dominance , ground tackles , physicality , comfortable with ball , swag and well everyone says he smells good .
give Saliba 3 years and he will be twice the player Prime Van Dijk was. in the future when we make all-time Prem 11. Saliba will be beside Rio Ferdinand
S tier smelling defender
@@tobiasengstrm5118 least deluded arsenal fan
@@tobiasengstrm5118"Twice the player" ?? Cmon man. Just say he will be better, thats would still put him in the all time PL squad. Has there ever even a CB TWICE as good as Van dijk?
I guess you only started watching football a few years ago then.
You absolutely need to watch Botman more, he makes the game look so easy, the easiest way to look at it would anyone from that A or B tier take his spot fully fit, an argument can be made for Stones? or a prime VVD but he hasn't looked as good as he did a few years back no one in that B tier could lace his boots.
but to put him on the same tier as them Martinez and Varane after last season is a blind joke.
I just want to say as a Korean fan, it’s sublime to see a countryman in this convo, fully deserved for sure
Araujo finally getting his flowers 🔥
Joe is so clearly a Chelsea hater and has Man U down his throat. Idk how you not more harsh on Varane than Silva, also Botman is super disrespected. Honestly we need someone else to take this show over bc I’m tired of him
I feel like Chelsea got the shaft here given the teams problems
Chelsea have been bad and he hates Chelsea anyway
Joe hates Chelsea mate
I’m glad he put dias in S. He is so good and sometimes people sleep on him a bit
I can spot a Man United fan, when he puts both Varane and Martinez above Silva, despite the fact that MU and Chelsea conceded almost the same amount of goals last season, while this season, with quarter of it already behind, MU defence is shi.t.t.ing the bed quite obviously
Well they’re both injured and haven’t played while Silva is soooo….
Pretty obvious Chelsea fan aren’t you? TS was unreal last year but let’s be real, neither of our sides have hit even 50% of potential, our best of the season so far is just guys who haven’t sucked
Hahahahahaha don’t where you got that from. Been a United fan my entire life 😂😂😂
@@aburamestormsorry that was directed at the OP…GGMU
Very well timed video, a constant debate
I think Joe made this list based on last season. As a Barcelona fan I can tell you this season Kounde has been outstanding.
Genuinely spat my drink out when he brought up Lisandro Martinez in a list like this 🤣🤣
Kounde should be in A... Kounde have been top 3 defenders in the world at the start of this season... He's been the best in La Liga without a doubt
The first two Center backs in the D category have conceded one of the fewest xG and joint third fewest goals this season in the Prem
Nice video
That saliba part though I have to admit everything you said was 💯💯 true😂😂.. and that little smile just before the conversation 😂😂
As expected from you. Chelsea will always be put last
Snuck in Martinez 🤣 Varane is acceptable but the dwarf? Nah
The disrespect of Thiago Silva is a disgrace Joe. He’s still a top 5 defender in the prem
i stopped the video when he put militao with Araujo and Dias
Romero over van de ven (even as an arsenal fan) is kind of nuts.
Romero is a liability imo
Dodgy dodgy list this Joe, Sven Botman C Tier is criminal.
Botman so underrated
Kounde in B is crazy he’s been one of the top 5 best defenders in europe this season now that he’s actually playing as a central defender
No he hasn’t … another overrated French player
Based on last 18 months gvardiol should be either s or high a
Nonsense
Not seen him step up enough in massive games against the best forwards. Remarkably consistent for his age, an amazing talent for sure but players like saliba araujo militao get into a tier when they’ve had numerous games where they’ve locked down the likes of haaland mbappe lewa benzema etc
the disrespect to thiago is crazy, still one of the best
Kounde this season has been the best defender for barcelona imo and its not even close but yes I understand he hasnt played as a cb in the past season so maybe that deducts a few points other than that he has been sensational
Militao hype brother. Van Dijk is still clear of him and honestly so is John Stones
Do striker tier list next
Kim is up there on Top🔥🔥🔥
van dijk not in S is laughable. yes he's not as good as he was pre-injury but he still walks nto any back line in the world. he's a victim of his own previous ability
van de ven honestly plays like he was built in a lab. fantastic player
When you put aruajo at S I knew you knew ball 🙌
His injury’s are a concern but when fit he’s one of the best
Botman is a B grade
Botman is so underrated
finally some recognition for araujo!!
His a generational CB his that good
De Ligt above Silva and Colwill when he doesn't even play 😅
Araujo is probably the best center back in the world if it wasn’t for injuries. Saliba is great as well right now he is the best. He also gets injured but right now no. Araujo and Saliba are definitely fighting for first in terms of best center back.
As an arsenal fan I totally agree, it’s scary with these two and how they’re built, it’s very easy to get injuries
Saliba is not on Araujo level nowhere near
Ruben Dias is the best CB btw and there's no doubt. You want a defender to win you a big game with massive performances, you call on Dias. Simple
Lack of respect to Tottenham as always
I'll never understand the love for Gabriel. When Saliba isn't fit he looks bang average at best
And tier list is outrageous and besides cowill would start over Maguire and even lissandro
Let me fix it for you
S - Dias, Stones, Van Dijk
A - Alaba, Rudiger, Konate, Varane, Araujo, Kim Min-Jae, Militao, Saliba
B - Bastoni, Marqhinos, Gabriel, Martinez
C - Thiago Silva, Gvardiaol, Kounde, Romero, Van De Ven, Botman
D - Colwill, Skriniar, Upamecano, De Ligt
Typical Chelsea bias once again moving the goalpost to not include our CBs even though throughout the last few seasons we have had one of the best defence it was our scoring which let us down
Konate is the best 1v1 defender itw I’ve literally never seen him get done ever.
😂😂😂😂😂 very funny 😂😂😂😂😂
Silva & Colwill both in D 😂😂😂
Joe was all over the place lol. Last season or past achievements mattered for some and not for others. Saying you’d take an inexperienced 22 yr old Van De Ven over Thiago Silva in a big match tomorrow is a horrible shout
Imo Kounde is definitely better than all the others in that B tier. Deserves to be in A. The Danish Maldini deserves a spot here as well although I know you didn’t pick these. He should be B tier. A rolls Royce of a cb as many say
varane should definitely be up one more tier
Absolutely spot on from Joe with this one
I think if vvd stays consistent this season without injury he will be on the path to his best for next season.
This feels like a content that should involve multiple ppl so it doesnt feel so opinionated
Crazy that he didn’t call Romero a World Cup winner but he called Martinez a World Cup rob er
Everyone says Gabriel is underrated so that means he’s not underrated
Putting Militiao with Araujo and Ruben is absolutely criminal, he is one of the most over-rated CBs in todays game.
Kim should be above Militao for me, Bastoni is easily high B for me (alongside Kounde and Konate)
Gabriel is A for me I genuinely think he’s not far off in quality from his partner, who is in fact the best cb in Europe. I respect your take on him he doesn’t get enough respect🤝
Saliba is in fact not the best CB in Europe. He can't even get a starting position for the national side.
Would loved to see Edmund tapsoba in this list, he gets into most teams mentioned
2-3 seasons for VVD? Is that all? He literally didn't lose a home game for OVER 3 years. That's one of the craziest stats ever.
Even for an AC Milan like myself I fear that the bastoni being ranked lower than romero is absolute bs. Also, has saliba done enough on the international stage in comparison to Marquinos? Prem bias perhaps?
Bastoni at c is laughable, Joes bias against serie a is crazy
Bastoni isn't all that mate. Don't accuse me of not watching him play because I do; he's not c tier, but he's nowhere near the levels of the likes of Dias, Stones, Romero, Kim min jae, Saliba and others
@@sfb4144Bastoni is light years ahead of Romero. Remove the epl bias from your behind. You probably don’t even watch serie a
First time I see you giving props to Barcelona players
Micky van de ven in C will be regretted in the future as he is destined for greatness
I’ve never seen a player that tall be that fast
yea ok loooooll
Rudiger disrespect is clear....just out of curiosity do u watch real matches?
Militao makes him look good
Cmon you know he does, that's what he does as a living
@@MrYounis26Miltao has been injured all season and end of last and Rudiger was still best defender by a large margin. Not better player than Militao , definitely better form
Bastoni should be s tier or at least a tier. Most chances created in the Serie a by a player, and he is a centre back. Sensational
Guardiol has done absolutely nothing in the game to warrant this much hype
