I read this and thought. Meh, typical comment. Watched the video. OK. I was wrong. You were right. This has got wave management and decision making based on the wave state, crucial to support, but also the cut and dry thinking behind it without becoming preachy or opinionated but just hard pro facts, and the delivery and explanation are so clear even my average Aphelios random laning buddy could understand it (unlike his passive).

This was a very insightful commentary. Listening to your decision making process was very helpful in understanding how to apply it in as game. That said, my ADC tilted and ran it down once I left lane for about 30s to gain vision and gank mid because they missed 10 cs. I've noticed that low elo tends to need you there to hold their hand since they can't manage wave state and have goldfish memory of enemy support, while mid-elo will pretty much tell you to piss off so they can solo farm and you roam.

This is a great video! As a master+ enchanter player this is great insight to trying to learn the engagers. Any plan on how to impact as enchanters in this manner?

Would the same apply for enchanter supports? The way I see it is as a engage support you can force/make play by yourself mid/bot

Great video but there are ofc some situations where you didn't point out your mistakes.
    1) The lvl 2 race on bot was lost because you didn't hit the minions and instead went into the bush and if the enemy was good this might have insta lost the lane because they could force draven away from the last minion by moving up in the lane as a duo and ashe having cleanse is better than draven in the 2 v 2 because draven can't really cleanse anything usefull other than ignite + an execution errror you need to flash rakan w or this 1 v 1 trade could actually be 1 for 0 for ashe if rakan was not horrible and did even 1 auto this entire fight.
    2) the roam to put pink on red at around min 5 was really good and is something every support should learn but hovering to gank mid was wrong (you need to insta run back to lane to secure draven catching the wave+ jayce can force the push anyway) and you were lucky it didn't get punished harder (Rakan was horrible again). Draven could have died a couple seconds earlier and in that case maybe only Wukong dies on the colapse from jayce which means draven would lose 2 waves and bot will be in horrible condition.
    3) The play around bot tower at min 9 was terrible. It fucked the tempo and wasted your ult which is objective in its own capacity. The volatility comment overall is completely correct but not in this exact gamestate where bot turr is at 1hp and you are higher lvl than the enemy adc and have ult on amumu. There are 2 correct/possible plays in this position: either force tower, take 1 more wave, recall and go top ( this works if your bot lane can dive enemy top lane or your jungler will be pathing top side anyway) or don't take the turret bot (because its too early in the game and you can't use the tempo properly) and use the pushing wave to freeze and make botlane completely unplayable forcing the enemy jungler/mid to come bot or if the enemy bot try to contest 2 v 2 kill them and then take the tower.
    4) game 2 the herald rotation - going bot is ok in solo q ( can give you kills in a lot of situations) but is still objectively the wrong play - Jinx will never be in danger cause she is already catching the wave while you are at mid tier 2 so no dive is possible and Jinx will just rotate mid for the next wave and be close to the potential fight or just do gromp while waiting for the top play to be over and you and your jungler to open on bot side again.
This comment is not intended as a flame to you as a player or to downplay the video but this is meant to be educational content and as such you need to point out your mistakes and what optimisations are possible.

Around about 15 minutes in you talk about babysitting the draven and how sometimes sticking around with your win condition team mate is the right play even if what they're doing is the wrong play. How do you make that decision? When do you forsake such a strategy because it's just "too bad" of a play that they're making?
I'm certainly guilty of recalling or vacating an area when I know hanging out is not a good idea, hoping my team follows suit and watching from time to time as they just int. I've always just chocked it up to poor decisions on their part and never really settled myself in the notion that perhaps I should have stayed and helped them do something stupid because it may have worked out. So how do you temper those kinds of decisions?

this is really good advice. it just sucks from a low ELO perspective because I rarely get junglers who listen to my calls or gank bot. they just perma farm

Thanks for the video. You are one of the best coaches in league of legends that I've stumbled across. I was able to climb from bronze to emerald in 2 months by watching your videos which has allowed to me think about the game in a way I never considered before. I'm a support main, playing mostly maokai this season and I'll be watching all of your videos so I can keep learning and eventually hit Diamond. Keep up the good work!
