What you say and do is brilliant. I get paid Bi Weekly so even "before" I get My Direct Deposit, I Budget and see what I have to pay. At the end of The Month I get certain Bills Debited from My Account. I live in Canada so it's slightly different. I also save every Receipt and if I "Spend" more than I "Make" I know I am in trouble. When I get my Direct Deposit, I get up earlier and do my Payments Online using my tablet. I get a Confirmation Number, I use a Date Stamp and Ink and Stamp it and get the confirmation number. I gave up alot from CD's, DVD's, Magazines. My only weakness is Dollar type stores and Amazon but if it isn't in the budget, I don't buy.
I have been using a post it note and 7 envelopes and putting the receipts in each daily envelope and subtracting and once it is done, it is done. This seems a bit simpler.
