I had to get my spending under control in October so I used cash envelopes and that made me more conscious about spending money. This month I am using my debit cards and in December I plan on going back to cash envelopes so I don’t get Christmas Fever!
Yes!! Christmas is my favorite season and it’s really challenging to stay on top of my spending… cash envelopes are the best!

I just started budgeting in December because my husband retired the end of November. I didn’t him to worry about his decision to retire. I knew I could get myself better organized financially and what perfect timing for me to do so!
I pay most of my bills with a credit card and then pay the card at the end of each week. I have all of my expenses listed in a budget planner and mark it off as the expense hits my account. I keep out $100.00 each week for eating out. I’m finding that we are no where close to using that much. I’m meal planning and cooking more at home through the week. So any extra money will be used for other things.
The way I do it may be overkill but since I’m just staring out, I want to make sure we don’t overspend. In time, the way I do things may change but right now, I’m happy with the way it’s going so far. This is the first time I’m ever saved for sinking funds! I really think this is going to be so helpful for future expenses! 🙂

I do the same paying the cc weekly, logging each transaction in a notebook and assigning a category, then assigned bank account!

I use my budget planner and the Every Dollar app!
I need to get more organized. But right now I print off my bank statements weekly.

Hey! I use an app called Turbo Scan. I take pictures of my receipts and store them in a folder on the app. Then I can add the pictures into Quickbooks.
Do you have any insight on the electronic cash envelope apps?
Can you explain the different bank accounts. Are the accounts for bills and spending both checking accounts? I'd love to separate accounts for bills and spending but am unsure how to do it.
I'm still trying to get into a good money habit, but i like the cash envelopes . May i ask what color red are you wearing on your nails?
I use the expense tracker in my budget planner. I log all my purchases, but I'm wondering if I should also be tracking the bills that were already budgeted for?
Is it possible to offer a skinny /slim line version of you TOM ?
