The very same Museum I volunteer at. I've only seen pictures of what the KBoBM looked like in the 1990's but never actual close up footage, it certainly begs belief that our collection is now 5 times this now.. including German aircraft like the Ju-52 (CASA .352) and a He-111H-16.. and we even have an amazing Cafe too! Brilliant vid! 😀

It`s a shame that they are now outside After coming from inside displays at Cosford & Duxford museums.
And they still have restrictions on photography in the museum.
Which if people were determined to get photos. It is a lot easier now with miniature pin hole spy cameras etc.

@@251hanomag The Spitfire's, Hurricane's, Bf-109E's from the 1968 movie and the Boulton Paul Defiant are under cover, the 3 outside are purely gate guard type replicas. We have our German examples as said outside as the hangars are too small. The 11 Sqn EE Lightning F.3 has long gone from there and now remains a cockpit section sadly but she wasn't BoB material.
The reason for the tight rules is purely for protection for the collection. The artefacts we have contribute to 98% of all Battle of Britain relics recovered over the decades since the Museum became a reality with our late Curator Mike Llewellyn MBE, and many attempted thefts have happened over the years.. Still mate it's how things are and most respect our rules and requests, sadly the ''No cameras'' rule is what kills reviews for us..
What went from a few artefacts in a chicken shed to becoming a historic museum in the UK is dedication to determination, research and faith in commemoration of ''The Few''..

@@BlackAce-zr2ms Thank`s for the update. I don`t keep up much with what`s happening in the aircraft preservation side now.
Especially when the Flypast forums were modernised. And just about destroyed it.
That turned a lot of the regular contributers away. And now it`s a shadow of what it used to be.
Even UKAR is poor show now.
The larger museums Cosford, Hendon, & Duxford. Seem to be disposing of airframe`s a lot more now.
Or in the worst case, scrapping them.
Cosfords airliner collection, a Victor, & the last surviving B1 Vulcan.
