Sounds like he's cleared for 5 on 5 but they're giving him an Xtra 2 months of strengthening up to possibly avoid a setback for when he does start the 5on5

I hope Lonzo gets to do some summer 5v5 and even the summer league just to get some real time speed going and knock the rust and test the knee. We're probably trading him at the deadline but if he plays well then that can net us better assets.
I think they said something like “Lonzo said he’s gonna be ready for training camp” And AK said “Me too” if Lonzo can jus be closer to Caruso for us I’ll be happy 😭.
They don't want Zo to play defense on this team with no defense. That's why they traded Caruso. This is for a tank to possibly get Cooper Flagg the real building block.

@@johnbrennan4449 I think Zach have a little more trade value. Maybe a NBA player (salary matched) and a 2nd round pick. P Will have value based on his youth and upside alone. His injury concerns will make teams hesitant to give up top capital with concerns.

They will tank to grab Cooper Flagg. But no young team has ever won a championship. It's always a combination of vets and young players.
Lonzo was cleared back in March for rehab activities so Arturas saying he's cleared now must mean cleared for basketball period so I'm sure as mentioned they will take their time with him but I'm betting that Lonzo is a go and Lavine is a no! This could be an exciting year for the Bulls depending on what moves they make at 3 and 5 moving forward

Giddey can't play defense so this will be a tank season. But it's probably good he doesn't play defense because it may lead to the Bulls getting Cooper Flagg next year as the real foundation piece.

Giddey can't play defense which is why they traded Caruso for this tank. So they probably don't want Zo messing up their chance at Cooper Flagg next year. This will be the season to see exactly what you have.

This move to the young players is for tanking or allow them to make mistakes. Josh has to learn how to play defense and no defense leads to losses no matter how many triple doubles you get. If you can't stop anyone, you are only racking up losses. I don't think they want Zo playing and contributing to winning and will probably trade him or try a buyout. They moved Caruso because his defense contributed to winning. AK knows this is a losing team.

@@ChiBullsCentral If they get 1 of the top 3 players in next years draft of Cooper Flagg, Boozer, etc, yes it's not tanking because you gained in losing that 1 year. If not then they will be in a perpetual period of losing with this current young team. Not enough defensively and when you have too many young players, they often compete with each other. You have to mix in Veterans with a young core to make them better. When the Celtics added Tatum and Brown, they were not at the bottom. They were still elite and won 53 games with Thomas before them. They added them with veterans in Thomas, Horford, Smart, Rozier, etc. The Celtics never had to tank in a rebuild. This team here will have to tank to add a real building block with hopes of landing a Cooper Flagg and with Brooklyn adding so many picks to next year with the Knicks trade, they will probably get him.

I need to see deroz and lavine gone now to finally be excited about (a bad team) in 2024 that finally has a direction. I might even pay to watch them in 2024 because there's a new direction and I'm finally interested again.
Ideally in 2024 and 2025 two or three players show something to where in 2026 at bare minimum we can spend to create a bench mob to back the young core.
I like the new spacing direction. I like the idea of white as an off ball 20ppg scorer and pwill as a 3 and D wing. With giddy and matas using their size to attack. Now in 2025 we just need a big man who can space the floor.
Just ride it out live with the growing pains and spend in 2026 if need me to fill holes
