This song is just shows how much VIXX just plays with music. They used Moonlight Sonata for the piano part (in a different key) and then build off from that. The song itself is part two of three in a storyline based off of Greek gods with this one coming from the mini album 'Hades' so the song is following a mortal's (played by N) journey to the Underworld where he is pleading for a wish from the gods. Meanwhile Ravi is brewing a mixture that takes N and Leo and swaps their luck/souls around which is why they are tied up at one point. The motif of the album is also thorns which is why the members are wearing thorny accessories, and their dance moves are showing them clawing at themselves.
I love your reaction to Vixx's songs- it makes me excited when more people are exposed to their talent and creativity. This song fulfills my dark royal fantasies hahaha
I got the same first impression of this song as you which is the overwhelming layers of chorus but it immediately clicked inside my head once I listened it inside my room blasting at full volume. Man, I feel like I am listening to a live orchestra in a theatre. Fantasy has always been my top 3 Kpop songs of all time even until now. Highly recommend you guys to listen during your me time inside your room.
