HOW I would've loved being coached by Jan Zelezny as well, I still had an awesome coach, he was also a l legendary thrower from the UK. MR COLIN SMITH. R.I.P GREAT COACH... HAKAN

Are you sure the left arm absolutely shouldnt point where you are going to throw? Im learning the javelin throw and I've been doing that "mistake" on purpose, part of learning process. When the lantionkääntö happens, the free hand ofcourse goes away, close to your body

Do something wrong for long enough and it starts to feel right. That's the challenge - to do something that will then feel wrong when directed by the coach. And who wouldn't give their right arm to have a session with Zelezny :0)

Jan Zelezny trying to get Tero Pitkamaki to open up his bounding/crossovers is painful to watch...Tero isn't getting it at all. How did Tero ever throw over 90-meters with those little piter pater crossover with out being good at bounding like Jan Zelezny. Tero must have one hell of a throwing arm.

unfortunately, even Zelezny couldn't make Pitkämäki a good thrower again. I'm afraid that Teros career is over. His technique is in wery bad condition, so bad that even Mr. Javelin can't do miracles. I feel sorry for Tero and Jan also. As you see here, where Jan tries Tero to keep his left arm in angle, but every time he starts to run, the arm comes strait and wiggles in front of the throwing line. When you do wrong things for wery long time, the learning off the mistake is wery difficult.

Lasted a little longer. Announced retirement yesterday. Still managed a few more 89m throws.
