These are great! I think cornstarch is only difference from what I usually make. Cutting in half and stacking really made them look professional and few chips added to the top. Kids loved them and said they were the best! I did scant measurements of the sugars (since I add way more chips) ..and semi sweet, not milk....delicious!
I am one who does not like the Crumbl cookie. It is way too sweet and to me, taste artificial. I love homemade baked goods and homemade cookies are not overly sweet and that is what I prefer. I do love all your videos and learn so much. Just thought you might want to know another perspective.
Thank you for thoroughly mixing butter/sugar/eggs. I once watched a show that said mix only until incorporated or your cookies will be dry. I've doubted my cookies since. This restores my faith.😅❤.
One time when I was a kid, I baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies. They were the best ever. Not just because they had local black walnuts pieces in them. I added baking powder and baking soda both by mistake. They had really good structure and did not flatten out on the baking sheet like chocolate chip cookies usually did.
I LOVE Crumbl cookies. I love that they have different and unique flavors each week. My favorite is actually the sugar cookie based ones. That being said, they are expensive and huge. We usually cut them into quarters and eat them over several days. Yours look amazing! Can’t wait to try this when it gets cooler here. Warm chocolate chip cookies are the best!
Excellent video. Loved that you did "trial and error" in the baking part. That gives the viewer an option to bake the cookies to their preference. Yes, I know it was to copy a particular cookie, but people might want to tailor the final result to their own liking.ie: soft and chewy vs crispy.
OMGoodenessss ! Thank you so much for this. I have been wanting to try to do a great big choc.chip cookie for Christmas and this looks so doable 😊 Once again that's why you're my favorite❤
Hi there thank you for all the recipes. I would like to make request, The “Cookie Cookery” has the best chocolate chip cookies ever! I have made Mrs Fields cookies and many many delicious variations however nothing like those little delicious cookies from the cookie cookery. I traveled to Santa Maria Ca. Just to eat a cookie, however they recently closed. It would be amazing if you could possibly copy this recipe. I have never commented on a channel, my husband loves this channel and I love All Recipes 😊
I am definitely going to try this one but my favorite recipe for cakey chocolate chip cookies is one with vanilla pudding. I really like mine soft and also add walnuts or pecans.
I tried another copycat recipe and it called for browned butter. Now I've never browned butter before ever. But I gotta say those cookies were absolutely fabulous. But I'm gonna try your recipe too.
I've never had one of these cookies, but they look divine....but I'm one of those few weirdos that don't like chocolate all that much and would choose the sugar cookie over a chocolate chip cookie any day. You mentioned making sugar cookies, have you already done a video on making that recipe?.... If not, would you please do one? Or supply the link if you have?
My wife and I manufacture cookie cutters and Crumbl happens to be one of our customers. The reason all their cookies are exactly the same size is that they use a 5 inch biscuit cutter.
No, biscuit cutters are not used. Depending on the cookie, they're either weighed and balled or scooped using ice cream scoops, thus creating consistently sized cookies each time.
The same size ball does not equal the same width or height. They could be pressed out differently. I would imagine they are pressed into the cookie cutter to ensure the same width and height.
The crumble version is probably more puffy and less dark on the bottom because they undoubted use a professional convection oven in baking. Convection baking usually produces that outcome.
I feel like cookies taste better when browned butter and brown sugar are used. Just gives “warmer” flavor- am I imagining that or does anyone else feel that as well?
I agree. Brown sugar adds moisture and lots of flavor to brownies as well as chocolate chip cookies. Nicole, love your recipes and videos! I also like cookies that are moist and chewy.
Yes, you can do the butter and sugar then eggs with a hand mixer. When I make a really big batch of chocolate chip cookies, I always mix in the flour mixture by hand into the butter, sugar and eggs. I don't like using the stand mixer for such a heavy dough so you will be fine. Good luck.
I messed up bad, I usually would watch the whole video first, then go back and bake along with the video. It went downhill after I accidentally dumped the flour without the baking soda and powder in the creamed butter and sugar😂. Then I didn't realize that 3 eggs were needed, I used one egg, mixing it wherever the flour didn't fall, As far the butter, I may have used a stick. 😂. What I did do was, mix it all together, made the ball, in the fridge for a few hours, took em out, cut them in half, baked them. They came out delicious!!!!!! Cute Lil cookies, soft and delicious. 😂🎉
I just tried your recipe yesterday. I chilled the dough in the fridge for about 3 hours and then baked them. They still spread way too much; but they were delicious. A little too salty though. I think 2 teaspoons of Kosher salt was too much.
I have ordered these cookies a few times and I believe they will eventually go out of business here. They don’t seem to be able to keep trained staff. The last two times I have gone the cookie was not decorated correctly and the peanut butter part to the cookie was just excessive and not as the business owner would have expected.
They use box cake mix for some of their cookies, and a cake recipe for the ones they don't use the box mix for. Highly overrated and to expensive. I will say there is one that I really like, the cornbread cookie which they rarely have.
At a certain point, you turn food into a gimmick. That's going too far. So I don't enjoy this kind of cookie. It's moving away from what I love in a cookie to become a special effects shot of a cookie. That said, I'm confident that Nicole's are MUCH better.
It’s funny, I am making these now… and you are so tiny that your hands make them look bigger in camera than they are for real…..lol ( my wife has “teddy bear fists” also!!
It's all hype really they just overload you with sugar. Too much frosting on the butter cookie. Don't like the chocolate chip cookie at all. The science of cooking is what people need to read to learn how to properly use ingredients, but today's society is lazy and just wants to buy their sweets, be broke and have nothing saved for retirement.

love the taste tester at the end. she was direct and to the point, credible. she could tell the difference but says its better. i believe her.
Me wanting to get all my fav sweets to binge

I don't understand all the craze about crumbl. I remember when the cookie factory was the craze, then Mrs. Field's was
AGREE. THEY ARE NAUSEATING!
Very much agreed✨❤️💯
I agree to. To big, overpriced and the taste is just not there for me.
...and they have btwn 50- 60 grams of carbs. I don't do crumbl.
I just made these and they were perfect! Soft, chewy, and it has a lot of taste! Sooooo good! Thank you so much!

Love tips
Love your delivery!

They came out PERFECT! 🍪🥰
Nicole.
How do you make crispy thin cookies
.Chowchilla. snickerdoodles. Sugar?
Looks good gonna try it. Did you think that it was too much vanilla? What brand of mixer is that??
I'm pretty sure it's a KitchenAid mixer.
What brand is your mixer? Nice color :)

@@JenniferLechman-j2u Well we sell a hell of alot of 5" biscuit cutter to their corporate headquarter several time a year.
The same size ball does not equal the same width or height. They could be pressed out differently. I would imagine they are pressed into the cookie cutter to ensure the same width and height.
Could you please try to find the sugar cookie and th birthday cake cookie. Thank you

I need a legit oatmeal raisin cookie recipe. Do you have one you can share?
the one on the oatmeal box top is the best.
Look up a cookies recipe for "Hermits"...
I really like slightly raw dough, too! However, I also dislike too sweet baked goods.
The mixer needs a screw tightened. Great recipe! Tysm
I wish Nicole would have tried one batch at a lower temperature, just curious to see how it would turn out if you baked it at 350° for 12 minutes.

Never heard of these, they look good.
I'm with you. They are sooooo overrated. Never understood why.
Can you do the same with a hand mixer? I don't have a stand mixer 😢

How many minutes did you bake the perfect batch? Somehow I missed it
I just tried your recipe yesterday. I chilled the dough in the fridge for about 3 hours and then baked them. They still spread way too much; but they were delicious. A little too salty though. I think 2 teaspoons of Kosher salt was too much.
I wonder if they use silicone baking mats. They come to my office and sale cookies. I will ask them.
No, it's just parchment lined baking sheets.
I’m not a fan of crumbl cookie, so I don’t doubt that yours tasted better.
I always underbake most cookies that I make. Otherwise they are just too dry. Going to try these because I find Crumbl really overrated, too.
They have only one that I like and not very often. The Kentucky butter cake. I wouldn’t pay that much though.
This recipe looks great. Crumbl probably uses convection oven so they aren’t brown on bottom
You need to use an air bake pan to keep it lighter in color
Panera kitchen sink cookies?? I love them but so expensive
Crumbl is soooo goooood
My granny loves to bake. She would cream her butter and sugar exactly like you did. The grandkids would fight over who got to lick the beaters.
I don't like crumbles. Made these and great!
This is the first I have heard of them.
I made these and they are really really good. Thank you!
Hi what kind of milk chocolate chips did you use in your cookie?
@@nakialoves Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips, Chunks
Yours came out darker on the edges. Theirs arent dark on edges. I wonder how to keep the edges same color as overall cookie??
Kids know!! ha ha Better than Crumbl. Way to go Nicole......
The best chocolate chip cookie is CRAVE! Has anybody tried it?
They are so much better than Crumble for sure!🌺🌺🌺
Dad gum it! I haven't heard that in ages! 😂
My oldest grandson is the manager of our one store. I’ve let to have one! I’d rather spend that money on stuff!

The last two times I have gone the cookie was not decorated correctly and the peanut butter part to the cookie was just excessive and not as the business owner would have expected.
dark bottom is better on a cookie.. more flavour imo!
Dark brown sugar makes a better chocolate chip cookie!
A walk in freezer! You’ve got to be kidding! 😮
it's my office, not my house!
You would love my cookie recipe, they are moist all over chocolate chip cookies.
Yea, I don't understand the craze . These cookies are not that good.

Imho, I would bake them @ 360° on convection mode.
My goodness those are enormous 😂❤
We've got one of these stores in our city, 🍪
..never heard of Crumbled cookies before...
Rookie mistake, cracking your eggs on the lip of the bowl. Guess where the shells end up if there are any!
Girl keep your day job
Forgot the salt on top
I will never eat another chocolate chip cookie without doing brown butter. GameChanger.
Crumbl cookie is probably blonder because they probably do more white sugar
Never even tried them.
350 -7-9 mins
What? No cocktail with the cookies? These cookies look WAY better than Crumble cookies!
she fire
Lower your temperature
Swish before baking.
I’m not a fan of crumbl I love ooey gooey cookies 😊
oh my god its too big when you eat that you have enough food for the whole day whahahahhahhahahha
Like any undercooked food, cookies can cause food poisoning.....just saying.
At a certain point, you turn food into a gimmick. That's going too far.
