I had a minor accident when I was three, I fell and a car just came out of a house and stopped exactly on top of me. I was only under the car and luckily nothing really happened to me but my mother got super scared and took me to the hospital to get checked. All good, we went home and my dad shows up, having been on his way to a work thing in another city, but something made him feel he NEEDED to go back. First thing he does is asking if I'm ok and my mother goes "how did you know!". My dad almost had a heart attack 😅

I just had this feeling that I should subscribe to this channel, and it turns out I was RIGHT! I think humor is a great tool to look at topics from different angles and shake out of a mental rut. @@AwkwardAnthems Crikey. I feel like I'm one of the people boxing you in 😟
I reckon the thumbnail design could tell people what the content is. They often tend to set tone and give clues. Maybe you could do what you love, but have specific fonts and background or something going on to distinguish the type of content. So you could have series of say 1 design 2 hanging out 3 fun stuff 4 social analysis, all with something going on graphically. I know I should just go into description, but I don't know if people do when scrolling through content. Thank you for your content though.
Gone from boxing you in on to mansplaining... oops 🤐👐🤝

P.S. - I went to look at your back catalog to see maybe I was just talking out of my a**. But yeah. Most thumbnails (they're good though) are this nice orange brown backdrop. They're all very well designed, like wow, but don't differentiate between entertainment and tech/work/design topics. I follow a bunch of channels to learn coding. I wonder would you be interested in making fun series of tutorials for beginners about your process and how to make some of the cool stuff you make. Can anyone make it? Where to start? Those usually have a bunch of views and people keep coming back (and watching ads) because it's learning. You need to come back when you're learning all the time, and replay, and take a break and come back and try again, so that might be cool for you. I don't know how many other people would appreciate it and do tutorials with you, but I sure would.

I've had "intuition" twice that stand out.
Once, when I was around 10, I was at a department store with mom. We were getting clothes for me. I refused to go in the changing room. This was a first. Never happened before or after.
The next month, the news broke that an employee had set up (illegal) cameras in the changing rooms. I had not seen the rooms themselves, so I couldn't have known.
The other was my mother's "mother's intuition". It was based on observation. The head of my daycare organized weekend trips and things like that, and only invites select children to go, the implication being the ones the staff feels are easiest to deal with, so not hard to manage.
My mother refused to allow me to go. Later that year, the owner/manager was in prison, for [yes, that].
I've had many "not intuition" others didn't see. One time I was in the back seat of a car. 5 of us in a 2-door car, music was on, everyone talking. We were first at the light. I said to the driver "go slow, he's running the light." The light turned green about 2 seconds later. Then we started moving, and the driver hit the brakes hard. A car running the red light nearly hit us.
The driver then yelled at me for not speaking up louder, he didn't understand what I said until after the events made it clear. I had seen the car coming driving like they were going to run the yellow 2-4 seconds after it was red. Not intuition, but nobody else saw it.
Or the time I was driving cross country with my mom. She was in the passenger seat. I was in the travel lane, then I pull out to the passing lane to pass someone. I say "He's not going to hit us." Mom doesn't even acknowledge I said anything, because it meant nothing at the time Then about 10 second later, the car to our right pulls into our lane. I honk and swerve onto the hard shoulder, and he pulls back to his lane.
Again, telegraphing someone else's bad driving annoyed the person I warned. "Why would you not get out of his way if you knew he was going to do that?" "If I did, he would have done that all day long, and would end up killing someone. Now, he has his wife screaming at him to check his mirrors before changing lanes. He might not learn his lesson forever, but he'll have learned his lesson for the day." She was not satisfied with my explanation and thinks I should have prioritized us over everyone else.
I had seen when I pulled into the passing lane that he was closing on a slower car, and his speed had been even and steady, so he was on crusie control. I could see in his mirror he was not looking in his mirrors, and his eyes were glassy and pointed straight ahead, like he was asleep, but awake. So I estimated the time when he would change lanes, and that he was so out of it he wouldn't look in his mirrors.
Another not-intuition, I started a new job. The guy next to me was a car guy. He wouldn't stop talking about cars. I can talk cars, so I said words that made him think I care about his car. So he wanted to show it to me. We go out to the parking lot. He shows me his car. One mod he did was a "cold air intake", where the air is pulled from outside the engine bay, so it's colder, which helps make more power. But he put the air filter in the wheel well, and there was no airbox to extract excess water. So I told him I would never do it that way, because of the chance of getting water into the engine.
Two weeks later, his car was dead. He went fast through a puddle (a deep one), and blew up his engine. Totalled his car, and he stripped it and dumped it on the side of the road, and called his bank and told them where to repo it from. Yeah, he was that kind of guy.

Whoa! That first story definitely falls under a "Different Kind of Intuition." As to the other kind, sounds like a lot of subconscious signals at play, but not everyone listens and acts swiftly in response to those cues. Great situational awareness has served you well!

Little things...like before caller display was a thing, knowing who was calling, and then using their name when I said hello. Speaking of "gut", was running home three miles from work downtown. Feeling great. At an intersection, my gut was suddenly in turmoil. Wasn't sure if I could make it all the way home, let alone run, jog, or walk. Stepped off the curb and a car turned right into where I WOULD have been had I been running. My mysterious sickness went away, and I continued. recently, something similar happened. Still got it. As I get older I’ve learned to listen to my instinct. Sometimes it’s simply to get in a different lane while driving. I tend to get it a bit more when I’m in an auto-pilot mode and passively thinking about things.
I’ve wondered if it’s similar to deja vu where it’s been said the brain takes a moment to take something in. The delay is what can cause the feeling. I wonder if I’ve seen patterns of driving that make me recognize I’ll be happier to not be behind how someone is driving more than it being any real thing.

I decided to get a snack from their vending machine and something felt off, like something or someone was watching me from the dark woods behind the stop. About a half hour later some guy came creeping up to the vehicle with a huge knife in hand. Granted, the chickens were freaking out when this shadowy figure was approaching, but by the time my groggy self would have woken up, he could have smashed a window and hurt someone severely. I showed no fear as I elbowed my dad hard to wake him up and blitzed after this guy with my dinky little leatherman, successfully scaring the crap out of him and chasing him back into the woods. We were the only vehicle there at the time, and someone else did arrive momentarily; he saw me chase dude off even, but considering the size of the weapon, serious harm could have been done if I wasn't so high sprung
