Thank you for including the Perfect Smashes with & without momentum, that's the perfect way to see if momentum is still in or not.
EDIT: The RRC wasn't an actual RRC, btw. Not unless air combos now use the first string instead of the second. RRCs always used the second string in Tenkaichi 2 & 3. If you pay attention to your animations there, you were still using your first string. So, this wasn't an RRC, unless, again... it's now using first string rather than second. I assume you probably did execute the air combo input on time though so if this is a change, it's kind of a bad one. It means potential for infinites.
EDIT 2 (while I'm actually watching it because someone posted the video in my Discord server, that's how I got here. lol): DBS 17 also has the exact same Grand Slash animation as Goku, Trunks & everyone else. Seems so far the only characters that have a unique animation for it are Beerus, Broly & Krillin. Everyone else has been copied & pasted. Hopefully it's changed after launch.
EDIT 3: So at 3:28, that's where the punch 17 did on Anilaza went? Rip. Can't remember if it's in his Ultimate or not but it looks like we get it here too. Looks like the same one anyway. It's a nice punch so I'm happy to see it anywhere.
EDIT 4: 3:36 THANK YOU for doing this. Dropping block to realign to block again. Thank you for confirming we can still do this. The amount of people who played & just forgot the block button even existed was frustrating.
EDIT 5: 5:18 ... Did you stop that Z Burst Dash or was it stopped automatically by the game?
EDIT 6: 6:28 lol. Switching even after the opponent is dead. So you can switch while they're still falling & get the chase. Kind of a yikes but evens out since the next character spawns in at the center the stage.
EDIT 7: 11:48 Ouch. So we have confirmation that Rush Chains (Rushing Techniques like Heavy Finish) do NOT stop the execution of Blast 1's like Paralyze Beam. This means you have to rush vanish out of there ASAP if you're caught in this situation.
EDIT 8: 14:00 WOW. Despite you hitting the ceiling to realign Meteor Smash, it still sent you in another direction. Talk about realism. In Tenkaichi 3 if you hit the ceiling your target/linear rush would just continue, but you actually bounced & went down accordingly. Crazy.
EDIT 9: At 16:00 we do see the counterattack stance but I can't see it depleting any ki. Somewhat inconsequential though.
EDIT 10: 16:09 We do confirm that level 1 charge smashes can knock the opponent out of theirs still. Thank you for doing this.
EDIT 11: Holy... 21:25 Even Kiai Cannon is vanishable now??? God damn. This means Gogeta Blue's Blaster Wave should be, too.

I'm glad someone made you aware of this video.
I'm not sure how much of a nightmare it will be balance-wise, but I'm honestly really excited for the potential of tag combos. being able to switch while your opponent is falling and then continuing after the switch sounds incredibly fun from a casual's perspective.
I've always wanted a dragon ball game where I could do exactly that with Zamasu and Black. hopefully, that doesn't spell disaster for the competitive scene, haha
of course this is just cope on my end. as far as I can tell a true follow up after switching has yet to be confirmed

That's how battles should be, with combos and hand to hand combat, not spamming the rush attacks every minute, you truly are a tenkaichi player.

It’s only done so often in these demos because it’s easily abusable against an NPC. This person has to intentionally fight this way to do it. In online matches I bet it’s gonna be super punishable lol

Everything else I've seen was lackluster with repetitive whiffing, and no attack follow-ups.

Glad to see someone actually know what they're doing, it's quite refreshing😅. Seems like the combo extensions off of the lift strike air combo still work, which is great to see. A lot of what worked in BT3 in terms of combos with no tech seems to carry over, and that's fantastic.
Also, am i right in thinking you can use multiple smashes in a combo similar to BT2? It looked like you used two neutral light smashes in the same combo at 7:17 before you did the lift strike follow-up.

By far and away the best Sparking Zero player I've seen. Doing perfect smashes and nailing down Z Counter while playing for the first is just next level stuff dude.
How difficult do you think the Z Counter is here? I wish it stays just as hard as it was on BT3. It is the best parry ever and its difficulty should equate its value.

we should definitely suggest that, it's a really simple number change Spike can do
@@Kyrkis I would say that those 30 seconds of power up are more than fine, you can do many things in 30 seconds if you are quite skilled, besides it increases attack, speed and defense if I'm not wrong, if they decide increase it to 2 minutes or more, it would be crazy because many players would abuse it.
@_devoian the problem is that it's not a new form to begin with. Also, with a game like this, balance doesn't matter as much

Exactly my toughts, bandai should put people who actually played tenkachi 3 to play the game, i tought that it was a simplified autocombo tenkaichi, but everything from the combat of tenkaichi 3 is there and more, now i can finally pre order the game, this is the perfect dbz game to the date.

Definitely feels to me like Z Burst Dash will be a go-to tool for approaching the opponent because it costs only a small, fixed amount of ki to activate it

Sucks they made gokus “instant transmission kamehameha” a cutscene….the RB2 version was the best cause u could do it like a regular kamehameha and let it go and he’d teleport next to the opponent…it would catch the opponent by surprise cause it looks like the normal kamehameha until you let it go😂…they might still have it for goku mid or something
dont worry its still there, SS2 Goku has the raging blast version of the Instant Kamehameha! just didn't get the opportunity to use it

Yk how in the tenkaichi 3 you could do the first rush combo and then a step in hit and start a new string, it looks like u we’re doing that a lot in this gameplay which I’m glad it’s back but at first I was worried cuz another UA-camr (Ndukuaba) was trying to do it and it seemed to not work (this was around when the UA-camrs first got invited to play the game). So is it the same inputs as tenkaichi 3 or is it different and maybe he just wasn’t doing it right ?
you can start a step-in any point in the combo now it's really weird to get used to, the step-in input did is the same as tenkaichi 3's

Yeah they still need to boost the speed overall, the game is too slow. And also bring back the homerun dash longevity and speed. Other than that the game looks great.

I hope there's an option to tone down the smoke effects. It didn't bother me much at first but sometimes you just can't see what's going on
that definitely won’t happen. smoke is part of the gameplay actually and you can shoot beams from behind the smoke so the opponent can’t see them coming

i thought it was crazy complex at first but it's actually pretty simple, just do a step in attack and don't repeat the same smash attacks. Creatful_Chaos has a great guide for learning the game

1 - Is Goku's kienzan/destructo disc still in the game?
2 - Is it still possible to do those directional teleports mid combo like BT3? (square 3x then side + circle for example)
1 - i'm not sure i didn't check
2 - yeah it still is i did the teleport thing but as a defensive option to cancel my rush attacks

In term of gameplay its the best video. But i wonder if the sparking combos are still in the game. I saw no one do a combo and finish with super attack from the combo like kamehameha ( i mean the combo ending in spark not the super itself. True players knows)
they're still in the game! i was trying to land one but i ended up running out of Sparking! mode most of the time

Were you playing the demo ? Its very impresive your control over the combos system. One question: What feelings about the gameplay ?? you would say its a mixture beetween raging blast/tenkaichi.
the combos are better than previous games that I mentioned before ?? Or bassically is tenkaichi 3 evolucionated?? There are combos with X or O like raging blast 2 ?? yeah, I know the base is in the square/triangle, But with some characters its possible to use those buttons(X/O).
I say all this because I have seen many things for previous games like: tenkaichi 2/3 Raging blast 2. until now I have a little feel about the spike works with this game. Like if it would be, an evolution of their work for all this years/games.

It definetely feels like a mixture of all spike games, it feels like tenkaichi 2 combat + tenkaichi 3 additions + raging blast (team switch, transformation, skill customization, beam deflect, step-in?)
the new step in feels like raging blast 2 because you can cancel out of it any point into the combo

While doing the combo with Broly where you flip the opponent so that he gives you his back at 7:20 , is it (Square Square Square Triangle) or (Square Square then Right or left + Triangle) ? And can all characters do this particular move or is it specific to some characters like BT2?
I forgot to ask you a very important question and that is about the immersive feeling of the PS5 Dualsense, how is that feeling when you get hit, when you use an attack and the adaptive triggers, what feeling does it give you?
it didn't feel like they took advantage of the PS5 Dualsense, it's just the generic vibrations for attacks & being hit
@@cherieanims I talked it recently with another youtuber @DBZSkills and it's because is it a demo and that's why you didn't have that feeling about the Dualsense haptics and that it would come out in the final version.
