Hey Steph, we appreciate your transparency. Stay focused, love on you, and think about what you can do for yourself to make it right. Whatever that may be. Friendships are sometimes worth going the extra mile for if you truly care about that person and value the relationship. What I meant by that is, when you are ready, if perhaps you feel maybe there was lack of communication or a misunderstanding, talk it out. Thats better than the possible elephant in the room. I promise you, you will definitely sleep better once you're able to verbalize what may have been left unsaid. Friendships definitely work both ways. There should be no lack of effort on either part. I think about this all the time when it comes to my 3 close friends I "had" in Jersey. We drifted apart as well over the years after 28 years. Life happens, we have our families and may not communicate as much, but things happen. Regroup with yourself and your mental space, and allow your heart to lead you the rest of the way. Acknowledge anything within yourself that you know you may be able to do better in a friendship, and make it right in your own time, whether you choose to rekindle the friendship or respectfully move on. I would agree with what Tonya said, dont give up, life is definitly short and its very hard to make friends and trust the friends you make. Nowadays, we all have a story to tell and may be going or have gone through some things in this crazy world. Thats the main time when we may sometimes need that friend to call on or vent to. Hey, Sis.. I enjoyed your video and how you've expressed your desire for friendships, but from where I sit, it feels totally opposite. Building and maintaining true friendships takes a lot of work. Not only does it take patience, but also kindness, compassion, and understanding. Life is too short. Many of us don't make it to have lasting friendships. So you have to learn to appreciate it when they do come along. Like you said in the video, I felt the same about our connection. I truly cherished and enjoyed building that bond with you, but for me, ultimately, you struggle with communication, and that leads you to pushing folks away. You say you prayed about making friends, but you dont want to put in the work. I was baffled by how you handled ours, particularly last time we spoke. We had an amazing time, and the next thing I knew, you went radio silent with no concept of why? When an issue arises, picking up the phone and expressing yourself shows your willingness to learn and move forward. That's what makes a friendship strong and lasting. I'm always going to be a true supporter and pray that you succeed and get after it. I feel you on the friendship thing. It's so hard to make genuine connections with women. I even tried joining friend groups on Facebook and have reached out to other women to just start a conversation only to get ignored or get left on read. Like why join a group for making friends if you don't want to engage? I just moved to Florida back in December and have yet to connect with anyone in the area. I need a tribe as well...my kids are older and out living their lives and now it's just me and babe. I just want a couple of women friends that I can just connect with and vibe with.
I have a moving to Florida Facebook group. I have some plans for the group regarding meet up. I just have to get my life together then I will put something together. Because you are not the only one I get comments from saying this exact thing.

Hi Steph! I've been watching your vlogs for the last couple of months and found you through your Orlando content! I get where you're coming from regarding finding things for yourself - I think that's why UA-cam is good because it gives you an avenue for self-expression and to share anything you're working on with hobbies, etc. I would say just focus on not putting a ton of pressure on yourself. You already mentioned not trying to force yourself to do too much at once - I'm guilty of that too! It can be hard to slow down and do one thing at a time, but sometimes it's necessary to regroup. And yes to wanting to find your own tribe! Same here. I like being alone, but it's nice to have a little group/family where you live for times you want to connect and be social.
