    The Bailout Kit
    :
Firefighters will purchase or be issued personal escape systems, but with lack of education they won’t necessarily have all the right components in the right places, will be improperly trained, and training in a manner that isn’t the safest. It’s important that we have the proper components of the bailout kit in place for a safe deployment in the event we need to quickly exit a structure. A couple essential components of the Bailout Kit are:
    1). Anchor & Rope
    2). Descent Device
3). Carabiner From Device -FF. Harness
    :
These components must be hooked up properly and regularly trained on in order to work. Firefighters training should always start at a reasonable height to grasp the concept, followed by adding the height element. Practicing regularly keeps the motions fluid on the firefighter carrying/deploying the kit.
    :
This skill (bailout) at height should always be done with a safety device and trained instructors who are qualified to teach these maneuvers. As safety during training evolutions is critical, we like to use the “Lil Buddy” safety device. The “Lil Buddy” is sold by @rescue_products_international , as it works great for being attached to the firefighter, but not in the way, and great at assisting the load down if necessary.
