i never remember much about project sekai but it’s very popular and i heard the localization is good. i always download it and then delete it immediately lol 😭
today i had volleyball tryouts 💪🏽 the chances of me getting on the team are very low but i got to see a bunch of my friends from school and whack balls at them!! for free!! fun fun

@@Urlocalrocach Sometimes (like in my ma's case) people have bad run-ins with dogs and get attacked by them, other times it's just certain breeds they're scared of (such as rottweilers). I don't understand it much myself since I adore animals, but we gotta respect peoples' fears. I'm terrified of heights, escalators, and cars, but not everyone is gonna be, and not everyone will understand those fears. Similarly, some people are afraid of dogs, and others may not understand or have those fears themselves. It's mostly a subconscious thing, but I agree, dogs are cute!

I was firstly scared of dogs because rabies sounded horrible. Years later got cornered by a dog but got barely saved by my dad, so now I can't go near stray or non-leashed dogs out of fear of being bitten.
My first impression of Tsukasa was: “He’s kind of sassy that’s cool.”
and then he blushed while doing the wonderhoy.
ever since then I haven’t been able to escape this tsukasa abyss. it just doesn’t stop. i have literally never obsessed over a single character so much in my entire life and i will need therapy by the time project sekai potentially ends.

Just goes to show how character design is so important. The fact you were spot on is enough evidence alone
My first thought about some characters:
Saki: Pick me girl
Kohane: some random girl
An: Miss Nagatoro
Akito: Childe
Toya: Todoroki
Tsukasa: I’m not gonna like him, his name reminds me of a character I can’t tell if I hate or love
Rui: I like this guy’s aesthetic
Mikudayo: AAAA WHAT IS THIS CREATURE
Mizuki: I like her(Ok listen, I know their pronouns are They/Them, but I didn’t know that back then)
Nene: I like her as well, know what, I like this entire unit, I’ll go for this one

Same thought on Toya. As an artist, I know how draining it is when your OC is compared to another popular character so I don't really do this type of comparison. BUT Toya have similar hair with Todoroki and I just went "This boi gotta have a strong similarity with him" and I was right (major father issue) 💀

Yo you pretty on point for everything (with only a few understandable mistakes). Only thing I’m surprised you didn’t mention was how gay for each other Akito and Toya (orange and blue guys in VBS) are since you mentioned An and Kohane’s gayness.
Anyway, getting their vibes from their character designs and their cards is such a cute idea? I’ll be very happy to see a follow up where you actually play the game/see the story.

You're shockingly accurate for someone who knows little about the game. I've had a bit more exposure to Project Sekai, and there are some things you brought up that I haven't even thought of myself and I was like "oh, that makes sense"
I wouldn't be surprised if there is something I thought you mischaracterized but it turns out to be right as I learn more about the characters.

Anyway, this shows how well these characters were designed. This is the third person I see blind react to the characters and the guesses are all pretty spot on!

@@aj__io There's a lot of useless changes to the script. Some catchphrases are inconsistent and some jokes that would have worked perfectly fine in English were rewritten for no reason.
There's also the thing where instead of changing (debatably) offensive content to fit better to the west or just adding a disclaimer, they just flat out removed a huge part of the story. But I don't want to get too into that.
It's better for English speakers to read it directly from the localized version, since raw translations feel a little too straight-forward, but that really doesn't make the localization good. I'm saying this as a person who partially understands Japanese

i just started today and i got a 4* honami, should i be worried.

At least from what I've seen the characters refer to her by she/her.
For example, Luka referring to Honami in an area conversation: "(Hehe. *She* must have really wanted to start playing together with everyone.)"
Also, the wiki refers to Honami by she/her too, "Mochizuki Honami (望月穂波) is a first-year student at Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy. *She* is the drummer of Leo/need. *She's* childhood friends with *her* bandmates."
