- In this episode i show you my process of refurbishing an Akai MPC 2000 XL with some of my music in the background.Please excuse the flickering of the LED lights due to wrong camera settings.
The video is quite long, but i hope you will enjoy it anyway with some good beats.

Man, THIS REMINDED me, I have 2 mpc 2500's SEALED in the box from the factory, The faux carbon fiber joints. Hopefully they haven't spoiled jus sitting in there.. My mpc 2000xL has seen better days tho, tried taking apart to clean, few buttons broke! My mpc1000 is still almost new tho, only used for a few weeks.. Had big dreams when I bought all these but then uh, well life took over...

Womit hast du die Knöpfe sauber gemacht und den PadSensor.
Das Gehäuse hast du bestimmt mit spüli gemacht oder.

Der Padsensor wird mit IPA gereinigt.

@@WASKMUSIC Thx for the response. Rec knob doesn't work, I can't go to different banks, I'm not sure if the media card slot works, and all the sample pads don't work.

Great work, brother. I admire your passion. Quick question if you are willing to answer: Do you think the EB16 effects sound board for the 2000XL is worth the money? It seems that for what they are selling for on Reverb.com and Ebay, a Roland SP404. I am very new to this, so any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Blessings!
For me personally: Having everything in one box is a must. At least for me. The FX are okay‘ish, nothing superior, but if i need a reverb on a snare, i just need a reverb. I hate going back to other gear to achieve simple stuff like reverbs or filter.
On the other hand: The 404 is a great tool!

What did you use to brighten up the plastic switches? I'm guessing it's light and hydrogen peroxide like for yellow sneaker soles.

How you doing bro...so i wanna replace the button lights on my mpc2000xl with some LEDs blue ones but i dont know wich ones i should buy can you give me some pointers for how many watts and the size all appropriate it..🙂
actually i only use original parts when possible so i can't give you any insight on blue LEDs. But i guess normal 3mm ones should work.
So i just purchased some 12v 3mm blue led ultra bright (5v-15v) you think these will work for the mpc2000xl
what did you use to clean the outside of the faceplate??
just some soapy warm water.

As Chris Fix would say: Soapy wodder. ;) No hard chemicals or whatsoever.

No for now there is no replacement part. But rumours told me someone is working on that already.

unfortunately i got no idea from here. I personally would try another board with the pots first.

@@clydetripoux5041 No i meant the board with the pots on it. I would personally try to rule that out first. Or disconnect the small pot/volume board and check what's happening without the actual volume controls attached to the system.
