Interesting. Might go G25-550/660 on the Skyline. Keen to see how it does with E85, cause that's what I'll be running. :)

Do you think a G25-550 would come on boost sooner, or would it be too restrictive for a 2.5L I6. We see them work great on SR20's. Cheers!
I was just watching a video in a 2.6L engine g25-550 started making boost at 2000 with .8 bar at 2800 rpm.

I don't remember, but you know these things will make 500whp all day long and a little over 600whp with e85 and a tune. I'm interested in some "low speed torque" in a smaller engine so a turbo that starts making boost early is important to me. Something i can feel in the daily driving rpm range. @@Jcoxy2k10
Nice, you mentioned it comes on a but late, what pulsar tubo would u recomend to get boost on sooner and hit that 400hp mark?
Ive got an rb25 neo stock exhaust manifold if that helps.
Any advice would be appreciated, the 550 seems too small to hit 400 but would come on sooner? Is the 2867 too small u think?
g25 550 makes in the 500-500whp on 93 and just over 600whp on e85.
Thanks for the video, ive recently bought the same turbo for my 20det racecar. My mate has one on his SR at 22psi, making 325, it can easily go more! He ran out of injector. Anyway its a good turbo.
crazy! i know people who's smallest choice is a 35/40 type. I'd prefer the fun of this setup personally
Is there some sort of reverberation in the screamer pipe when the gate first opens or am I hearing things? Don't think I've heard it on any other car. Wonder if the 6Boost manifold is overkill on this setup and if a log manifold would bring it on boost quicker.
Yeh its something like that, pretty sure its just the gate opening/closing with DC on the mac valve
pretty sure it's a mac valve thing too. a mates r33 has the same thing when the external cracks open. it runs a link ecu
What is the intercooler kit used?
Beautiful although rad stock myself has seen its limits, wilsht saying can you please build a rb25det engine at all I'll call

Geez thought it would be more responsive, my gtx35 comes on about the same
Nt sure if it's just the audio, but on the dyno the turbo sounds like it surging. 🤷🏽♂️.

Weird build. Should have saved money and not gone high mount.
All customer supplied gear. Although Im a huge fan of always going highmount because low mount is a massive pita. Just could he done much betterer
@@BoostGumps yeah understood. As a customer who has had that same comment aimed at me, I would rather hear your input at least before having build problems blamed on my choices during the build. In my case I felt as if the build and tune were rushed and unfinished and that was blamed on my choices where I would have been happy to go a different way of it has been discussed.
@@CarlDSLR yeh if the customer had consulted me prior to the job I would have told him exactly what way to go. If that were the case it wouldnt have ended up with a G25 on it either though. But alas, the customer had purchased all parts prior to coming to us, and didnt want to go down the rout of custom fab at this time.
