You should have tried may springs and panther creek both have tons of different cover schemes and lots of bass
I saw some guys fishing to rocks in panther creek. I don't think the bass are off the main lake yet though. Not many caught much deeper than the second point. On the boats I was on anyway.

What happened to okuma?
I've been waiting to see if Scott responds to your comment. I noticed the Okuma vinyls weren't on the boat anymore along with no Okuma combos on the deck. All Favorite rods and what looked like Shimano reels.
@Scott Martin we need you to shed some light on the situation lol
Robert Cason , Riley findeisen he mentioned it before the season. Him and okuma were unable to come to terms on a business agreement (no quality issues or anything like that) so we went with favorite rods. While favorite designs some decent reels, he is using whatever reels he wants (predominately shimano)
Oh ok I missed the info on Okuma. I'm glad he is with Favorite rods. It's a good match for him being that Favorite is a Christian based company. Favorite rod paired with a Shimano reel is hard to beat 👌🏻

12 minutes in and you made you prediction about the 2 lb smallies being the norm.. and needing a 5lb to put you over the top. I marshaled the tournament, and man.. that was an accurate statement. Over 600 keepers released Friday.. very few over 3lbs.

I live about 5 minutes from Norris and about 20 from Cherokee lake. Those two lakes are the hardest in East Tennessee to fish, seems like all the bass are within a few ounces of each other. I'm going to do the Marshall sign up for next season and hopefully I get one of you guys and learn some things while maybe pointing y'all to where I've had success in Cherokee. Good luck on your Chase of AOY another cool vid guys.

Old school floating rapala throwing past those Rocky points and along the mud lines if it's windy and just reeling and stopping or jerking absolutely murders largemouth on Cherokee. Kietech green 4-5in heart tail or a 3.3 on a black chatterbait. Next time you go Cherokee just try it on a practice day, everyone power fishes that lake to death so those are about the only lures that get hits consecutively besides finesse fishing of course.
